The rain was still getting heavier, and Ethan Sterling tried to reach for Seraphina Redgrave's hand.
But Seraphina, sitting in the heavy rain for so long, was numb all over. When suddenly pulled like this, it felt like her whole body was about to fall apart, and she frowned in pain.

Her voice was soft, and those few words sounded like a playful complaint.
Ethan thought it was because she'd been sitting too long, and her body hadn't warmed up, making her uncomfortable.
