It was the voice of a cartoon character, the all-AI sports car Ethan had gifted Seraphina Redgrave.
"Where are you now?"
"In reply to Young Master Sterling, I am currently in the parking lot at Blackwood Road No. 79 on the outskirts."

What kind of godforsaken place is that? Ethan's gaze turned icy cold as he stepped hard on the accelerator, heading towards the address the robot provided.

The outskirts were the remotest suburb of Sovereign. Even driving quickly, Ethan took quite some time to get there.
The rain was pouring even harder, the sound of it hitting the ground was loud, it felt as discomforting as if it were pounding on one's heart.
