She looked up at him in surprise.
"Gideon Grant, you want me too, don't you? I can feel it," Mia Sheffield said. "Why can't you be a little more proactive?"
At that moment, William's voice came from outside the door: "Miss Mia, President Sheffield asked me to take you home."
"Mia, it's time for you to leave."
"Unless you answer me, I'm not going anywhere!"
Gideon Grant replied, "We're not right for each other."
"We've never even tried being together. How do you know we're not right?"
He let out a helpless sigh. "Mia. There will be better men out there… to love you."
Mia Sheffield bit her lip. "Gideon Grant, you coward!"
She hopped off the bed, fuming, and rushed for the door. But Gideon Grant quickly grabbed her: "You still haven't changed your clothes."
Look at that—this is exactly why she likes him. Even at a time like this, he's still so rational, reminding her to mind her appearance.
Mia Sheffield left the room, not even glancing back.
