Chapter 4 - C somewhere, deep in a forest

The next thing Freia had to grapple with was the fact that this world had unique beasts that resided in this world. Owners had different tiers that would compete in fights and different beasts would churn different forms of energy that could help its owners. Basically, these beasts form a huge part of this world's economy. There were traders, commodities and even school academies to train budding beast trainers. And Freia was enrolled in one of these academies. Mostly, she was forced to attend the school to live up to the family's name.

"Are you kidding me? She's going too?" a loud voice screeched. Freia had to search her memories - oh, right, she's the second step sister Rola.

"Mother, what's the point of wasting the opportunity on her? It's not like she'll amount to anything." Rola pointed in digsut at her

"She's been requested," Lady Fie mentioned curtly before closing the door to her carriage. Freia quickly sat by the side window and peered out.

The world was vastly different from what she was used to. No tall skyscrapers, no bustling streets, no cars or anything that resembled the modern world that she knew so well and thrived.

In the modern world, she had wealth, looks and status within the organisation. But now, she was back at square one. With absolute nothing.

But, if anything Freia knew. Freia was a fighter. She didn't become number 1 for no good reasons. She was good at what she did.

And that was - to survive. And survive, she will.

"You better shut your mouth about what happened last night," a low voice murmured from behind her.

"Obviously, I will. It wouldn't do me any favours if people found out what you've done to me," she whispered without a trace of bitterness.

"...Good. You're not that dumb as what's been said about you," Jun said and she turned her head to look outwards into the endless plains. It was just fields after boundless fields that stretched as far as her eyes could see into the horizon. Feeling tired, she closed her eyes to clear her thoughts and plot what she needed to do to survive in this world.
