Chapter 6 - E

Her thoughts were interrupted when someone entered the spacious accommodation.

"Welcome, Fie Fie, you've made it," a voice uttered and Freia turned to find a lady who bore a striking resemblance to her step mother standing behind her.

"Dina, we would have made it earlier if not for some hiccups," her step mother darted an annoyed look in her direction and her step sister, Rola mirrored that with a sneer.

Freia pretended that she didn't catch that and continued to help them to unpack their bags like a dutiful maidservant that she was rightfully not.

"Frei....a?" she heard a sharp intake of breath, followed by someone rushing in. A man in his late forties pulled her up to have a good look at her. She searched her memory to piece together who this was - with a start, she realised this was the uncle who had always visited her mother and her when she was much younger. He and her mother were as close like siblings.

She didn't miss how Lady Dina and Lady Fie slyly exchanged looks of surprise followed by deep curtsies to this newcomer.

"Uncle Thome?" she asked uncertainly and he nodded his head. He examined her closely, pulling out a strand from her hair, "What... happened to you? How are you?"

Freia didn't miss a beat from her Uncle's quick change of tone, she smiled quickly, "I'm fine, just tired from the journey."

"I requested for the best room at the North tower for you, Freia. This is the west tower. Come. Dina, please ensure that everything's taken care of for Freia. I mentioned this before.

"Yes, Headmaster. It's prepared, I'll show her to the room."

"It's fine, I'll bring her," Uncle Thome said curtly before tugging Freia away. He whistled and a gush of wind blew them back for a bit. A majestic mystical creature materialised right before them and it bowed. It was a white silver dragon and the sheer size of it caused a stir within everyone in the room. Even the usually calm faced Celia was mildly surprised and intrigued.

"Did you see that?" she heard Rola whispering to Celia.

Usually, a white-silver beast meant that the owner was a Grandmaster tier in terms of the mystical beast community.

Apparently, there were only less than 10 known white-silver beasts in this world and Uncle Thome, the headmaster of Mage academy was one of them. She knew that from the previous owner's memory. Apparently, the previous owner had always wanted to own a mystical beast but sadly she lacked the aptitude and the finance to house one.
