The day started with drills and figuring out the flaws in security. The Marxist sent their officers to train us. I sent forty of my family. Once they left they trained everyone else. I spent my free time using echolocation and x-ray vision. I stopped sleeping as I focused more on protection. The twins called it Mom Mode. Oleg was amused by my tenacity. I had them team up to do fight practice. Then I had to decide who was on guard duty. I had a special sensor placed on doorway so it scans for any suspicious items. I ordered two drones to go in opposite directions on every street. We also deployed the delivery and repair bots that doubles as spy bots. I had very little time for fun. Whenever I had time I made and ate ramen. I would meditate and go back to duty.
The next day I took a trip to the testing floors on Horský terén. The mountain fortress opened it's doors to let me in. We tested newer weapons, security devices and everyone's awareness levels. I had them learn different codes so they can have shorter conversations if things get messy. A few were curious why we even needed a short when mind Comms exist. I explained that there are those want to severe the link between us. So if we ever encounter such a situation we should be able to communicate with others easily. I saw the kids came with Batou and they spend the next few days telling everyone about their childhood and Batou spoke of his experience as an officer. I showed the disasters I faced and how I am trying not let history repeat itself. Batou shared his own woes and everyone went to work.
I was wondering why Soren didn't come to inspect this. He explained he was in Hae. I wished him luck since he is going to need it. He saw the fortifications and approved to send the raw materials needed. He asked me to train them to be tough. I promised to do so. I started with heightening their senses. First was smell. I had them learn how to smell without changing form. As a vampire and a werewolf their sense of smell is better than humans. But it is limited till they change. I trained them to have that sense of smell without the change. Taught them to track without being distractions by meat and blood. Next was hearing. I used noises to distract them as they learn to tune it out to focus. This was the most difficult training for some but for the rest it was easy.
Endurance was good but everyone was in shock they watched me practice for three days without break. Rex whistled, "I see why you were Empress. And now you're the general." Alex laughed as he explained, "She has activated mom mode and now she is turning into a Juggernaut. She will stop when boredom takes over." I yelled, "I heard that." Alex said oops as his twin laughed merrily. I went for a jog outside and made myself invisible. I heard a everyone speak at once surprise. I ran past the troops who were doing the morning exercises. Then I jogged past the eight obstacle course. Next was the fake ghost town we made to hide the testing floors. Next was the forest where we made the underground seed vault. If anything happens to the plants we can replant and start over. I asked Søren to oversee it when I was the Empress.
Once I was back I took a shower and changed into the camouflage t-shirt and pants. Next was Brazilian Jujitsu lessons and then finally boxing before I ate my dinner. I sat down to meditate and Batou stared at me as stared at the cadets like their were my babies. Oleg stroked my hair as I tried to calm down. We placed sensors on the outskirts to alert us. Soon the alarm went off. I went out alone. I saw a human and spoke in unified, "This area is off limits. You are trespassing. Let me see your hands." His smile didn't waver as he spoke, "I am trespassing?" I replied, "This is a no tourist zone. You are committing a crime." He grinned, "I am just passing through. Get out in my way." I smiled, "Make me" He lunged forward and I stepped aside. I smacked him on the back of his head and he growled. He got angrier. I really wanted to scream but I chose to knock him out with a rock.
I called it in and he was given a sedative before he was transported to the space port for deportation. I did something no one would think. I put a blocker in the mountains facing upwards. They noticed the number of intrusions went down significantly. Søren immediately ordered the science department to make several blockers which will be attached to the spiral and the local terrains to stop all the unauthorized entries. The nation of Izmeer asked the Senate to send a committee to see if we were living to the standards of this collective society. Søren allowed it. The committee came to find nothing out of the ordinary. Søren used hypnosis to make the Izmeer senator tell the Senate why this committee was made to begin with. The Izmeer delegation was expelled from the Senate. Everyone had enough of their attempts to invade other nations.
I told Søren to be extra careful because he might meet someone who can identify and counter hypnosis. I sent Batou to help him learn interrogation. The twins and I learned to use the weapons and the different vehicles. I sent men and women in my family to pretend their are hikers and trekkers. The trespassers came to a standstill. The Niña representative asked why there are people all over the place. I had Søren asked him why he is sending people to sneak into private property since it is the official trait of the raiders and marauders. The Senate made it clear to stop spying on the other nations since it is a sign of treason. We have the right to defend our territory. The Senate got news that the Izmeer colony has invaded other nations.
People were displaced so the Galactic military force sent people to fight them. Refugees left their homes as they were forced to watch it turn to rubble. They send the refugees our way. But they had to divert once they realised that we were overpopulated. Something I did to avoid future fights. We had that with humans. I am not going to face that headache again. All tourist travel was suspended till the Senate says so. I asked Søren to come home. He was home the very next day. We sent the exploding drones into space. For days it was quiet. The there was a tear in space. An opal coloured ship came out along with an obsidian one. I grinned, "Hail them" Oleg activated the Comms and we spoke. He told me to surrender and he will show mercy. I told him to go home now or we tear them to pieces.
He stared at me weirdly before he ordered a warning shot. I ordered them to send a solar lance and to jam their signal. The spiral fired the shot as they were getting ready to give us a serious demonstration. The golden rod shot out and obliterated the obsidian ship. The opal one tried to send a distress signal. I was pleased that they were unable to call for help. Søren ordered me to deploy the exploding drones. Two zoomed forward and blew up the ship. Søren asked for ideas. Roland told them to start using up the old artillery. When their weapons are exhausted we will bombard them with the newer and deadlier ones. They will be defenseless. I had made sure not to decommission any since it was possible they can be useful in the future.
An hour later Kirigan and Kaz reported doing just that when a tear came above their planet. I heard Søren congratulate Roland for his genius. The other systems followed the same afterwards. As the ships blew escape pods came crashing down. I had them scanned. Some of them had human passengers and some had bots. We incapacitated the humans and send a corrosive liquid to dissolve the bots. They found themselves striped of their belongings. They realised they are now wearing prison clothes. I also made them wear a straight jacket for safety purposes. They explained, "This is a legimate annexation. You are committing treason." I called the Senate and asked them if the Annexation was legal or not.
He was shocked, "We don't legalize the invasion of other worlds." The angry old Kaiser congratulated us for capturing them. The next wave came a month later. They opened the star bridge without a word. We sent kamakaze drones at them. The ships blew up in rapid succession. I guess they gave up because they closed the Star bridge. Søren was laughing and I told not to count his chicken before they hatch. They are testing the waters. It is possible they are trying to exhaust our weapons so they can invade us. So I had the engineering add propulsion unit to the debris from the enemy ships. So we had fewer problems afterwards. I had the prisoners of war kept in a medically induced coma. This meant less problems for us. We braced as we called our allies for help. To our dismay they were overrun with these invaders too.
