After Irulmuni gave them his reply, he disappeared from that place, vanishing into thin air. Everyone began to think deeply about what had just happened. It wasn't easy to step foot on that island, and while discussing this, Harold and Lorentz spoke about the situation.
At that moment, Harold looked at Karikalan, who seemed lost in thought. Harold asked, "What are you thinking about, Karikalan?" Only then did it become clear that during the attack that happened that day, a mysterious group had saved Karikalan and the others. No one knew who that group was, or why they had saved them. "Why did they save us?" Harold wondered. Lorentz too began to think about who those people could be.
However, they didn't dwell on it too much. Their main concern was finding a way onto the island. Lorentz finally said, "We'll go to the island—me, Harold, and Ken. Karikalan, you stay back and look after your family." Saying this, the three of them set off on their journey.
Harold asked, "But how are we going to reach that island?" Before they could decide, Irulmuni had already told them about a place they needed to visit first. That place was called Sundarbans, a vast and dangerous forest. Entering it and returning alive was nearly impossible—no one who had gone inside had ever come back.
The three of them entered the forest. While they were moving deeper inside, a strange sound echoed through the woods. All three turned and ran toward the sound at the same time. When they reached the spot, they heard a voice—but saw no one. Suddenly, a shadowy figure appeared before them.
"I am Elara," the figure said. "Irulmuni was the one who sent you here. You wish to go to the land of the gods, but to do that, you must follow Irulmuni's instructions. You must carve the symbol of a tiger on your back—not with ink, but with sacred green dye that remains permanently. After that, you will travel by an ancient ship, similar to those used during the Chola dynasty. Beneath the stone at your feet lies a scroll. That scroll contains the path that will lead you to your destination. You must travel south around the island. And remember—you are forbidden from taking any modern objects, weapons, or materials with you."
After saying this, Elara disappeared. The three of them lifted the stone and found the scroll with the directions. Then, as instructed, they searched for a man skilled in green tattooing and had the tiger symbol marked on their backs. Lorentz was amazed when he saw it—it glowed faintly on their skin.
Once everything was done, the three of them took the ancient ship and set sail toward the mysterious island.
