Hassan wanted to learn some magic spells, and he went to the blonde lady (his mother) so she can teach him some spells.
"Mother, I want to learn some fire spells". The blonde lady was a little surprised because the previous Jacob would have never wanted to learn magic that could harm others, but she knew that sweet and kind Jacob was gone. That was Already apparent due to the new cold temperament of Jacob.
She still loved her son but after his loss of personality, she felt a coldness from Jacob and no familial love toward her or his father. For this reason, she decided to treat him coldly which might change his temperament.
She nodded her head and took Jacob to their backyard because she didn't want Jacob to damage her garden. Jacob followed her to their backyard, It was quite wide compared to what he had imagined. He would normally stay in the library or his room he hadn't even checked the whole house out yet.
Jacob's mother stood in front of him and told him, channel your magika in your whole body feel the blood and magika flow together, feel the magika in the environment, once you focus on the magika in your body lead it to your eyes,Don't worry if its difficult.
When Hassan tried to focus he felt some shiny dust-like particles inside his body, when he tried to control them they moved as he wished. He focused on these specks and lead them to the veins and arteries connected to his eyes. As he did it he felt like the world around him had completely changed, he could see everything with extreme detail and clarity, even the lines on a blade of grass, and many specks of this shiny dust in the air. He did not realize it but his eyes were glowing blue. It even seemed like the time had slowed down a bit as his perception had increased.
After some time passed his mother started telling him about different types of magicians, physical mages, and real magicians(magus). The magika that humans possessed was hard to control outside the body as compared to the inside.
For this reason, many magicians(with no affinity and low talent) decided to go with the path of physical strength. They would focus their magika on their bodies, for different attack buff and defense buff, a mid-rank novice if put all his magika in his fist could shatter the skull of an adult.
This path had a major flaw, if their bodies are not strong enough they would destroy their bodies in a fight before the enemy even get the chance to do it. For example, a mid-rank novice could put enough force in his hand to shatter a skull, but his or her hand would also be severely damaged, because of the force put in his /her weak hand.
For this reason, only the less talented people who had very little talent for magic would tread on this path, as they couldn't get magika under their control. "Who would want to die because the fireball they created exploded right on their face?".
After explaining this to her son, she told him that All magicians also had the powers of physical magicians, as they could control the magika and also put it in their body parts, but all physical magicians couldn't use magic spells (if they could do even one strong spell they would be real magicians). For this reason, a magician would always be superior to a physical magician, of the same rank. these physical magicians refer to themselves as cultivators, however, they are nothing like the real cultivators who knew how to harness the power of havens and the essence of the universe itself, and the era of cultivators have ended, cultivation is a lost art now .cultivators were all slain by some unknown power for some unknown reason they all shriveled and died, as they aged in seconds from youth to old bags of bones.
physical magicians can also cover their body parts with magika to increase the durability, but it could never make the body damage proof so real magicians wouldn't use physical magic for attacks unless they were in a pinch or we're running low on mana.
Real magicians would use Magika to make a force field outside their body made of magika while they would attack with spells from inside keeping their bodies safe, unlike those physical magicians who would have to put all their bodies on the line in a fight, and were very prone to damage. They could cover a weapon with magika to overcome the hurdle of damaging their bodies with the backlash of their attacks, but they couldn't make force fields that were superior to their bodies.
Physical mages were bad at controlling Magika outside their bodies but they could at least cover the weapon they were holding with magika, which would make the weapon sturdier, and ones with comparative better control could even sharpen them.but still, if they didn't put enough strength in their hands to attack putting magika in weapon was meaningless.
The real magicians looked down on the physical magicians for this reason. A real mage could easily defeat a physical magician of similar rank. And the power a physical mage could attain was very limited.
Hassan didn't know about physical magicians, but after hearing about them from his mother he had no intention of becoming one.
His mother also told him that around three percent of the world population were magicians, out of those magicians around 40 percent were real magicians, while the remaining 60% were physical magicians. People whose both parents or one parent was a magician had much more chance of being a magician than others whose parents weren't magicians.
The population of that world was assumed to be near 80 billion, Jacob assumed this world was much bigger than his home planet.
After his mother told him all the details about physical magicians and real magicians she asked him what he wanted to become. She knew the answer but she still asked in case she had assumed wrong.
Jacob without any hesitation informed her the he wanted to be a real magician.
She then told Jacob that he was a very talented child when it came to magic, however a little stupid (previous Jacob), he was adamant about learning healing magic, which was water element magic, when he had a very high affinity with fire, and wind. with his higher than normal talent in absorbing magika, and his very high affinity with fire and wind, he can learn spells of these two elements many times faster than others but he had always insisted on being a healer. Jacob could make a similar spell much stronger than his opponents due to his high affinity, with two of the most desired elements. Jacob was born for greatness but had a very weak mind but that wasn't the case with current Jacob.
Hassan who is current Jacob was 16 years old, and much more mature than the 12-year-old snowflake that Jacob was, and knew the world was dark after all he got murdered on his home planet. And this new world seemed much more dangerous than his old planet.
