'Now that I think of it, the Black man that came with Illyrio never came back. He shouldn't be far from here; his mana is still around.' I thought as I turned around.
I started flowing mana through my eyes, making them highly perceptive to movement and mana, but as a side effect my eyes, mark, hands and feet start glowing green, which would garner the look of many passersby.
To hide this side effect, I wear my stealth set of clothes, a black top with a golden emblem that resembles my mark on the back with black pants; on top of all of this, I wear a hooded robe with golden trimmings.
I then wore my golden boots and golden mask; to finish my look, I wore my belt with a golden mark on it.
"Alright, let's get started." I say, as I jump to the rooftop to get a better view of the mana around. 'Now that I think about it, I spend a lot of time on rooftops,' I conclude.
'Hmmmmm, it seems as though the man is inside the auction house; I can't tell which floor. I can't go in looking like this, and I don't feel like changing too.' I say with a frown on my face.
'No choice!! I will go in through the back door, copy the books' and scrolls' contents and then find where the man is.' I plan in my head as I land in the alleyway next to the auction house.
There were 4 guys out here, two with swords at their waists, one with an axe and another with a hammer. They were all guarding the entrance to this alleyway.
'Good thing that I have silence and light-weight enchantment on my clothes and boots.' I whisper as I head towards the door.
I send my mana through the door to get a clear look at the layout of the place and to see where the guards are positioned inside.
Seeing that no one was near the door, I carefully and slowly opened it. 'Thankfully the sound wasn't loud.' I think as I close the door behind me.
In front of me was a huge hangar full of crates stacked in rows; there were five rows in all, three in the middle and two at each side.
'Okay. So the nearest guard is on the right side between the second and first, so I must avoid him or knock him out.' I plan as I go between the second and third rows.
I dash as silently and stealthily as I can to avoid detection. 'Great! More guards – just what I needed!' I whisper as I stop and hide inside a crate.
"Did you know the Magnes's were here, in the VIP room." said one of the guardsmen. "Yeah, I know, Hellryder and Delusion!!" said another with eagerness in his voice.
"I heard that Jaerya tried to have sex with Hellryder, but he turned her down!!" said another. 'Wow, there isn't a thing that these guys don't know.' I consider myself.
"What!!! Is he gay??!!" The fourth guy said, "I nearly shouted at that; the only thing that stopped me was the third guy's shouting, 'No way!!'" It can't be!!" 'Yes, my fan told him, "I heard he had sex with three women at the same time!!".
I was left mortified at that, 'Just what kind of rumours are going on about me!!!' I shout out in my head.
After a few moments, when I couldn't hear the guys talking, I finally came out from my hiding spot. 'I need to fix these rumours about me, at all costs.' I promise myself.
Moving on, I was nearing the end of the row, 'two guards on the left and one on the right, but he's leaving; they don't seem to move.'.
"I heard that a general in Yi Ti named himself the orange emperor!!" said guy number one, "Yeah!! I heard that. I also heard that another guy is calling himself emperor too!!" said guy number two.
"Man, can you believe it!! First Westeros and now Yi Ti – who's next??!!" continued the second, 'Humm!! I didn't know about this!! ' I hummed to myself.
"You two!! Stop lazing around and come help with the slaves!!" Said a stern voice opening the back door, ""Right away!!" They both shouted and left through the door.
'The books should be around here somewhere!!' I thought as I rummaged through the crates, 'Finally!! Now all I need is to copy them!! ' I take out a stone from my satchel.
This isn't a normal stone; this stone can keep the shape of mana the same as when infused in it. Thus, all I need to do is shape my mana as letters and infuse it in the stone, and it will show it to me later.
Once done with the whole process, I check where the guards are. 'Hmmm!! There is no one behind the door; I should be able to tell were the man is from here.' I think as I activate my mana vision.
As I walk through the door, I close my eyes. 'So many colours!!!' As I slowly open my eyes, I focus on one colour in particular; as the other colours slowly disappear, I can distinguish where the man is.
'He is sitting in the middle row, the left column, chair number 132. Why isn't he back with his master?? It doesn't matter... Wait!! ' Realisation dawns on my face.
'That's the same spot where the voice earlier bid higher than me!!! 'It wasn't a baiter!!!' an angry face appeared on my face. 'That damn Illyrio!!!!' *Inhale* *exhale*.
'I will figure this out later. Let's go back for now!! ' I thought to myself as I returned from whence I came; thankfully there was no accident on my way back.
