A small argument ensued between Shen Xiu and "Shen Yan" before anyone could catch it. A few people in the banquet hall thought it odd his appearance looked a little haggard.
"You are still part of the Sacred Family. It is time for your childish rebellion to cease." Shen Yan stated. His voice was vastly different then what Shen Xiu or Shen Yue knew. Holding onto her arm forcefully was a bad idea.
"Hands off." Shen Xiu did a swipe removing the hand. But it was more than just removed simply. It was removed the body entirely. Turning into dirt of all things. "What the hell are you?!"
"That was the same as the creature that attacked the Divine Family!" A member of the former Great House said. The table area cleared away quickly.
"Rahhhh!" Shen Yan turned to effectively an Earth monster. The power of law coming off his body. "Come back to the family!"
It lunged at Shen Xiu. Trying to smother her by the looks of it. Those behind Shen Xiu circled the creature. But did not act until it wrapped around her. The dirt started to harden then shine white-hot.
*Fwish!* Each of the 10 with her used basic fire techniques. The dirt actually contained thermite. Shen Yue would find out later that it was stolen from the Dark moon Compound while he was away. An ongoing investigation was still going on to determine the perpetrator to this.
Well not anymore.
"Die!" Shen Xiu shouted. She burst free, scattering the burning creature around. Thankfully the 10 with her erected a barrier. "Burn it completely!" The Scarlet Flame Fox was adding its fire as well.
Most stood out of the way to keep from getting burned.
"Hmmm." Shen Yue searched with his Astral Sense but detected nothing else. They had the situation under control and maneuvered it to one location. Shen Xiu was about to put it in an urn by the looks of it. A very old one at that. "Ah!"
*Fwish!* Shen Yue added his lightning to the mix. Creating a Lightning Field the moment the urn was sealed. With a pull, it flew over to him. Not chancing it, he threw it into the Flame Vortex Core. To others, it was just placed in an Inter Spatial Ring.
"Thank you master." Shen Xiu saluted him with the 10 doing the same. She then turned to Ye Ziyun paying respects. "Sorry for the disturbance, I am sure the Snow Wind Family does not ming."
"Quite alright. Glad to tie up loose ends." Ye Ziyun spoke respectfully. Whatever was going on there was just odd. "Everyone please return to your meals."
The Earth Spiritual God Urn and it's Divine Spark fragment were broken down easily. According to the language on the Urn, the Earth Spiritual God had hidden in Orchid Cities ruins after the war. With several of the inhabitants as its family members, they kept it quiet as best as possible.
The Earth Law formed quickly. The fragment was really small. But the piece contained enough to help pull the other fragments to him. Exuding the power of the Earth Spiritual God already, Yu Yan who didn't know that it was Shen Yue was elated, and Xiao Ninger who did look over shocked he comprehend it so quickly.
The body was that of Shen Yan, the skill Fiery Palm was added to the techniques of Flame Martial Arts the same as others. Adding a little power to his Burning Finger technique.
After some time passed, the revelry started up.
"Patriarch Nie Hai," An olden white-haired man was speaking to the Heavenly Marks table. It was Ye Shuo who spoke with Nie Li earlier. "How are you?"
"Hmm, oh good!" Nie Hai spoke only a little flustered. A few more people gave toasts as well. "I graciously accepted!" As they drunk their wine, he turned to the Dark Moon table. "A cheer for the Dark Moon Family! May you continue to grow!"
"Cheers!" A large majority of the banquet guest chimed in. It stirred a little when the Sacred Family Patriarch stood up. Shen Hong still had a few people who were loyal to him.
"Yes, cheers to the Dark Moon Family. But the question on so many people's minds, and that weighs on our hearts.." He light purple eyes looked over the room. The few Dark Guild members in attendance nodding. "..where do you come from?"
A few ramblings could be heard. The worst was from the allies of the Sacred Family. Still pretty good at controlling public opinion by the looks of it.
"None of your business." Shen Yue answered simply. They couldn't find anything on him or really do much to him after all. A look to Ye Ziyun showed she was whispering to some others on a matter. 'The fighting outside may have picked up. No reason for me to get involved just yet.'
"Oh, such an honest man cannot mean to hide it? Right? I wonder how you were even able to take my son as a student." The prodding had a few more mumbling the same thing. "How do we know you are not plotting to take over Glory City?"
"Humph! You stinky grandpa!" Nie Yu stood in her chair pointing at him. All eyes were on the little girl. "My Master is better than you! You mean old stinky man! Big bro Shen Yue doesn't even recognize you as a father!"
"Humph!" Shen Hong scoffed. "A student is no better than the master it seems. How unruly." He tried to exert pressure on her. "You need to be disciplined!"
*Woom!* The pressure barely even tickled Nie Yu.
Shen Hong!" Nie Hai was appalled he would try something on her. "She is just a child!" Like they seemed to always do, folks in the peanut gallery did not get involved. The Dark Moon forces because it was unneeded.
"Eh, why is everyone so bent out of shape?" Nie Kai looked at them as if they were making a joke. "Nie Yu is fine." The banquet guests looked at him wide-eyed. As the girl's father, they expected him to be outraged. "Well just look at her."
Nie Yu was standing on the chair still pointing at Shen Hong.
"Hehe, old grandpa wants to "play" huh." Nie Yu chuckled a little. Nie Xiaofeng and Nie Xiaori stiffened up. The uttered words by the little girl sent a tingle down their spines. "SIT BOY!
*Thump!* Shen Hong was forcefully pressured into the floor. Creating an actual indention despite going through the table. This showed even more how powerful she was compared to him. Behind Nie Yu, the image of a White Cat made of light was visible.
"Awww, you are so weak, old grandpa." She placed her finger underneath her little lip pitying the man. "I didn't know you were that weak. I am so sowwi." Pulling back the pressure, she looked around to see if she was in trouble.
A little bug flew around and bit the knocked down Shen Hong during this time. Injecting a little into the old man under his clothes.
"You are fine Nie Yu." Shen Yue waved off the worry. "Just playing around is all." She smiled happily and went back to eating her food after that. Feeling the problem was going to start inside ahead of time, he gestured for Xiaofeng and Xiaori to take her back. "It is curfew time after all."
Those underage amongst the Dark Moon Family got up to leave. The Sacred Family members were still trying to wake up Shen Hong.
Once he woke up, they had to explain what happened. The embarrassment was overturned by the sheer fury.
Before he could speak, however, Ye Ziyun stood up. Taking control of the festivities.
"Ziyun.." Nie Li was about to stop her.
"Just sit there for now. I am still mad at you." Ye Ziyun signaled the people close to her to block the exits. A few members of the City Lord Mansion were confused. This was not the plan as they knew it. "If anyone of the Sacred Family tries to leave, cut them down on the spot!"
"Of course cousin!" Ye Hong answered. Those trained by him surrounded the table of the Sacred Family. "For crimes against the city, you are under the arrest!" A lot of other families were astonished.
"My Sacred Family has protected Glory City over the past centuries and is a founding member!" Shen Hong said strongly. A knot in his stomach was foreboding the worse. Rumors of Ye Zyiun making moves with various families caught his attention before. "We have done.."
"Nothing good! Horrible members of Glory City!" Shen Xiu cut him off. She stood up abruptly with accusing eyes as she laid out the crimes of the family. The ten with her today also speaking up. Shen Fei was not the only one who mistreated people in the Sacred Family. Airing out the dirty laundry was enough to drain the color from the old man. "Further proof!"
A rash started forming around the collar. But scratching the least of his worries for now.
Letters from the Dark Guild and the Sacred Family were introduced. Plans to have Shen Yue and Shen Fei to take over the Winged Dragon Family and Snow Wind Family to steer the city as they wanted.
The Huyan Family was mentioned in a few letters. And doing quite terrible things to Huyan Lanruo. The best was the assassination of Ye Hong's wife. Details about how her "sickness" was a plan by Shen Hong to serve as revenge over the years.
The Alchemy Association members from the Dark Guild were outed as well. Yang Xian having kept them around to help monitor over the months. Abducting letters and stolen resources.
"What has my family done so wrong to suffer such an injustice by one of their own?" Shen Hong grabbed his chest acting a little. The other was from his blood pressure rising. But he stood the course. "The accusations are more than just planted information by the Dark Moon Families true mastermind."
Eyes moved to Shen Yue who was sipping on some juice. He was not paying attention actually. Astral Sense trained on his people outside of the room. Those who were out past curfew specifically.
"It is good we can have the testimony of so many here today." Ye Ziyun gestured to the side door. A member of the Dark Guild was brought over. The two people holding him in place were actual members trained Xiao Ninger and Yang Xin. "Shen Gui has traveled and delivered messages for years. Let us see what he has to say today on the matter."
"Everything they have said is true." Shen Gui stated. He gave a scared look to Shen Hong but catching Shen Xiu in the corner of his eye, he was more scared of her. "I can even lead anyone to the location in Blackrock City!"
The various noble families were skeptical until seeing the reaction of those in the Sacred Family. Seeing how Shen Hong was starting to wheeze a little. His blood flowing sluggishly a little.
"Ugh!" Purple blood dripped from his nose and mouth. "It.. hurts...." Looking a right mess, his heart kept beating erratically as his eyes started rolling over. Foam poured out of his mouth turning pink and purple. "My.. eyes..."
"Help us!" One of the members looked towards the Alchemist Association members. They started giving elixirs to Shen Hong to try and stabilize him. Unfortunately, this only made it worse.
"We would have to bring him for observation first and foremost." The Alchemist said sadly. "However.. I believe it is to late due to the elixirs making it worse. From here, it looks to be.. Dengue Fever."
"How do we treat it!?" The Alchemist did not have an answer for him.
"We do not know. Just know of it. From old records." The old records were from notes translated by Shen Yue. The more he read, the more he found a correlation between various poisons and diseases with modern-day matches. "It is a very dangerous disease."
Adding a mix of poison and certain types of energy makes a pretty dangerous bio-weapon. Only two bugs have survived the process so far. Only Shen Yue knowing of them or the process of doing it. It was better that way.
"Head back to the Sacred Family Compound! This is a trap set by the City Lord's Mansion!" A Dark Guild member shouted. Forcing pass those of the City Lord Mansion to get out proved faulty once they were outside. "What!?"
Ye Zong and several members of the Snow Wind Family had returned pretty bloody. The raid against the Sacred Family was pretty bloody. With the various families in attendance inside, they looked between Ye Zong and Ye Ziyun.
Nie Li gave a complicated look to Ye Ziyun who didn't look at him. Looking around he couldn't find Ye Han. Taking off to give search, he missed quite a lot taking place currently.
The Dark Guild triggered the emergency method to take on the situation better. As well as the Shadow Demon Technique. Sealing their own fate by doing so with the members of the Sacred Family.
A large Shadow Demon appeared. Something of a rarity by normal means among Demon Beasts. It reminds Shen Yue of how the Zombie Dragons are made. Only a little, since they were born from corpses.
"Liang Yu, I hope you protect as many as possible." Ye Ziyun stated. He gave her a nod stepping outside. Moving towards the location that Shen Hong was forced through, the food and drinks were checked. "Make sure to have everything check for poison. I do not want any thinking we acted dirty."
"Patriarch Huyan Xiong, make sure to help with coordination!" Ye Xiu ordered. Huyan Lanruo was already with her father moving against the Sacred Family. Scaring several with her brutal fighting methods and prowess. "I will take care of the Shadow Demon!"
