Nie Li was conversing with the Snow Wind Families' third strongest Ye Xiu and the fourth-strongest Ye Shuo. They were flattering him greatly with Nie Li playing the part of a young man who just knew a little more than those of his "age."
The Winged Dragon Family were doing their part of meeting with others as well. Xiao Yunfeng kept pretty hidden but with a quick probe, it would reveal he was in the Legend Realm. Xiao Ninger seemed to have developed her father at least to a strong level.
She did not teach him any hard-core methods. Nothing to give him to much power to cause the elders to come at him out of jealousy. But in Glory City, he would still carry a lot of power and weight as her second in command.
Xiao Yunfeng looked to be in good spirits and deferred to his daughter greatly. Only stopping her from executing members in the WInged Dragon Family who tried to manipulate her.
"Ninger, I think your little Nie Li is in trouble." Xiao Ninger could already sense something was wrong before her father mentioned it.
'Ye Ziyun!' Nie Li watched her come into view with Shen Yue. 'What has that damn Liang Yu done! This will ruin things!' Moving to her Ye Ziyun moved to him the moment she spotted him. "What are.."
*Smack!* It echoed through the hall as everyone turned to see Nie Li was knocked off his ass by her slap. He was not expecting that to happen at all. The ensuing argument caused the crowd to smile a little.
Seeing young people in love like this was a good pastime apparently. Most just assuming he was henpecked. Lu Piao looked on just shaking his head.
Shen Yue shrugged and walking away. It would take just a bit more to remove the "protection" from Nie Li making it easy to obtain what he wants later. In know, way was Ye Ziyun really done with him but the docile almost subservient Ye Ziyuin was removed from the timeline even more so.
"That looked like it hurt." Xiao Ninger said lowly. Internally she was a little happy. 'To see my love rival hurt him gives a strange feeling of comfort. Perfect time to comfort him but also need to make sure that Ziyun is ok.'
A flash of red-black energy passed through her eyes. She was already cultivating the laws with her Cultivation from her previous life. A trip to the Black Devil Forest would be needed soon again.
"Just dessert." Shen Yue said to her ears only. His control over sounds was at an even higher level than before. Manipulating the sound coming and going from people in the range of his astral Sense. He just couldn't cut through the speech and augment what was said just yet. "A difference between protecting for ones safety and controlling everything."
"Maybe." Xiao Ninger muttered lowly. Walking close to him, a small sound seal was put up between the two. It was already established in the Winged Dragon Family that the Mysterious Master in the Dark Moon Family was a friend of hers. As well as the Patriarch Shen Yue. But he hadn't come around lately. "Are you still mad?"
"No." Shen Yue responded. "You are cultivating a Law. How nice. I don't need to know which one." Xiao Ninger nodded and sighed gratefully. "Are you aware of the attack taking place tonight?"
"No, but I had my suspicions. The movement was odd upon coming. I sent a few to defend the Chen Family and around the City as a whole. Thus just myself, Xiao Yunfeng, and two elders coming here."
Xiao Ninger observed his movement and speech. Feeling even with the disguise, he was still approachable like before. Just a little kindness messing from the eyes.
"Has it been decided if you will be the first wife or the second?" Shen Yue gave her a small corner look. She actually blushed which was amusing considering her "age." A little fidgeting was stopped a few seconds later. 'This woman is dangerous as an actress!'
"Never really discussed. We will marry, which was good enough for me." Xiao Ninger gave a smile. "Thank you, I don't know what else to say considering."
"Meh," Shen Yue shrugged moving away. A few members of the Sacred Family came over getting in front of him. Out of the range of the sound seal used by Xiao Ninger. "..what do you want?"
Shen Hong and a few elders stared at him. Trying to see under his hood and through the mouth covering. But none of their techniques worked.
"We pay respects to the Mysterious Master." Shen Hong actually bowed respectfully. The elders following suit with the patriarch. "Wondering if you are interested in being a guest of our family? We are sure to give better benefits than the Dark Moon Family. They are quite a young Family after all."
A few were ear hustling listening intently.
"Hmm, my have the burial site of your family then?" Shen Yue asked simply. The incredulous look on their face made him smile. Several others not so much. "Such a shame."
"Surely we can offer you something else. Quite a number of resources have been obtained by my Sacred Family." Having collected himself, Shen Hong would not disgrace his answers by doing so. Especially in the open like this. "If you visit, I am sure we can come to an agreement."
"No." Shen Yue excused himself walking away. "Best of luck finding someone else. Should be easy. Oh, well difficult since Shen Fei raped so many young girls. What happened to him by the way?"
A few openly smiled. Countless fathers in attendance were happy his son was dealt with. Destroyed the heart in front of so many people just icing on the cake.
"It is best to leave the matter alone." Shen Yan held Shen Hong Back. If not for the elder. a fight would have broken out. "Never to late to get back at him." The Sacred Family moved on to mingle.
Sitting in the seat for the Dark Moon Family, Shen Yue started to listen to the various conversations. His Astral Sense moving to outside and signaling the Officers to begin the operation of robbing the Sacred Family.
With the Snow Wind Family getting ready to attack them directly, it was the perfect time to do so. The gossip in the room was getting better.
Some of the people from the Commoner Families were in attendance as staff. The Demon Beast Horde caused a good bit of damage to them. Before Shen Yue and the others arrived anyway.
Some things he heard did not sit well and he wouldn't ignore them in the least. Manipulating sound to let certain parties hear what was said. A few brawls broke out at a few tables.
"Huyan Lanruo, I need you to speak with these people." It was mostly fallout from the Demon Beast Horde to be addressed. "Make sure the families in out faction are notified. No need to let that type of unknown stir."
Lanruo gave a simple nod as she broke away from talking to the people near her to do so. Gesturing for Sikong Hongyue to continue without her.
"Sorry about the wait, I will bring some more water around." One of the servers said.
"Oh, Du Rong. I have heard about you." Shen Yue said kindly to her. One Du Ze's sisters. Was married off to a disabled person from a small village to make ends meet for the family. Shen Yue thought Nie Li would have at least helped heal the disabled person. Not enough changes he supposed for it to happen maybe. "What are you doing here?"
"Your grace." Du Rong was a brunette the same as her brother. Honest but the wear and tear of life was definitely there. "Since you are asking who am I not to answer. My husband passed away recently. So my in-laws sold me to a member of the City Lord Mansion."
"I see. I do not mind indentured servitude but slavery rubs me the wrong way a little." Shen Yue grabbed her wrist and sent some star energy inside. "I am interested in you. I want you as my disciple. Do you accept?"
"I..I.. what?!" Du Rong looked around to see if what was happening happened to be a trick. but the shocked looks on people's faces proved it was not. Especially most were nodding their head for her. "I accept, but that will have to be conversed with.."
"Nonsense." Shen Yue said simply. "Your name is now Liang Rong, of the Dark Moon Family. Go and change into these clothes at once. If "you" agree. No one else can make that decision for you."
"Yes!" She was quite decisive. Moving off quickly to change. Upon returning, the young woman's natural beauty shined. Quite a few giving her looks. "Liang Rong greets master!"
"Good." Shen Yue nodded. "Your other sister, where is she?"
"Du Qing.. ran away when they decided to sell us off. I tried to get word to my family but no response. I was going to speak to my brother during the banquet hopefully." She was not optimistic the treatment would be better in the Dark Moon Family if the worst happens, but she had no real options. 'I feel better from his weird lightning in my body. But at least I can have a backer somewhat."
"Sir, we do have a person like that at the compound." The 9th Officer reported. One of the few in attendance with Duan Jian. "She is currently in study to be a nurse I believe."
"Nurse?" Liang Rong was confused for a moment. The 10th Officer explained the situation to her exactly. "She is alive and safe, that is good." The emotional woman wiped some tears away.
"Hmm, go take her there." Shen Yue ordered. The Officer obeyed at once. "Do not worry about the City Lord Mansion. It will be fine."
"Can only imagine her luck or misery." Someone said.
"Still better off then embers of the Sacred Family most likely." Another said. Those at the table looking at him. "The Sacred Family lost Shen Yue then Shen Xiu. Accusations of theft and forgery and the fact those two formed the Dark Moon Family."
"Not to mention the death of Shen Fei." Another mentioned. "I mean... he did do a lot of evil but the heart of Shen Hong might not be able to take anymore. No heirs left."
As the gossip continued, Shen Xiu walked around with a few people who escaped the Sacred Family recently. What she was up to, Shen Yue had know idea. She had given them some fresh resources.
Walking with ten females of various ages at the Gold Realm was pretty formidable for those of Glory City. The odds that she was helping them for a while was defintely obvious. But was her as Shen Xiu or Tianyin really?
Shen Yan removed his robe and moved over to them. Shen Yue could have sword the man was killed already. Either it was an imposter or some odd was going on.
