"You have serious issues. You let all the people in your compound take charge of so much, but at least they leave wiggle room for some things." Yang Xin felt it odd that a strange purple glow circled around his eyes. But nothing to worry about right now. 'Will you stop fretting so much!'
'Why don't you stop finding more faults to pick apart!' The Mother Black Star Tiger thought back. 'Considering all the other leaders of different factions have done, including Gu Yan before you took hold of the Alchemist Association, Shen Yue has done less! Why didn't we take out the Divine Family issue ot the Sacred Family members!? We have the strength to do so!'
'We are not killers. We are healers!' Yang Xin argued back. 'The City Lord Mansion will deal with the Sacred Family issue in time. As for the issue with the Divine Family, it was taken care of already. So know problem there.'
'You Alchemists will bring about your own downfall. I suggest you get stronger for what is coming.' The Mother Black Star Tiger said nothing else more this matter. Keeping her own console after the few bits her children brought to her. 'There are powerful Demon Beasts in these parts, Glory City would be wiped out in a Fortnite if they went there.'
Shen Yue answered not really noticing the mental debate Yang Xin had.
"Hmm, maybe I do." Shen Yue barely answered back. "You should get away a good distance from me. About to try something.. a terrible technique at that." Yang Xin just took a few steps back observing him. 'Power for understanding sake. To keep them alive this time.. I will not fail to advance!'
*Swirl!* The blue-white rune lines appeared all over his body. His hair turning a light ghostly blue-white. His eyes flaring a dark purple. Along the lines on his body, purple and black lines flowed along as well. Adding to the others in the same pattern.
*Fwish!* Blue flames circled around his body.
*Thrum!* A clear ring pulsed outside his body.
*Bzzt!* White lightning started to spark in the air.
*Swirl!* Dense thick blood circled from the surroundings. Old blood pouring in from the surroundings in each crevice and from the soil.
*Oooh!* Deathly howls started to produce in the surroundings. The Death energy was roused by Shen Yue and absorbed into him with everything else.
"Dear.. Heavens.." Yang Xin started to back away quicker in fear. The Mother Black Star Tiger tried to quell the fear but it was not enough to dissuade the woman. "..you are going to far.." Behind her, she was grabbed. Scaring the daylights out of her instantly. "MMppffh!"
Huyan Lanruo covered her mouth pulling her away. Both she and Xiao Ninger felt the disturbance in the air pulling her away was the safer bet than talking to her. Up top, Shen Xiu watched never looking away with a critical gaze. Seeing the reaction of Yang Xin, she scoffed.
*Flicker!* Her eyes switched between normal and a green glow before resting on the green. Her disposition and the aura around her changing completely.
'She won't do for him either. How disappointing.' Shen Xiu pulled out a ribbon filling it with spiritual energy, With a toss, it went into the air creating another barrier that conceals the workings going on. "Find another for him."
The ribbon shot off containing a Law all of its own.
"It will be ok Yang Xin, don't worry." Huyan Lanruo said encouraging her. "Just a cultivation technique is all."
"He feels wrong." Yang Xin shooked her head emphatically. "The smell of Death.. it's stronger on him than a normal person."
Pushing his Cultivation with the use of Laws, he opens a small hole in front. Not forcefully, but more of needling away at it. The small hole was all he needed to reach out into the Dimensional Fabric.
As a Champion, he should not cause damage to the Barriers but neither was he suppose to get screwed over by the various Pantheons. Still no answer on who did it and none coming insight to speak up.
Rexford's letter gave him a small hint on what he could do.
"Haaaaa!" Inhaling the spirit energy in the air, he channeled it through the hole to increase its stability. His Astral Sense searching better now that the burden was lessened on himself.
The flesh from Shen Yue peeled away. His metallic bones turning a darker blue than before. The inscriptions on his bones increasing in density. Muscle tissue regrowing and burning away continuously from the effort.
*SCCCHHUUUPPPP!* A breach in the Dimension opened up just a bit more to see better. On the other side was the Skelton of himself from the previous life. Sitting in the same position as before manning the God Tower Formation.
Skull looking upward in defiance and the arms still moving. Just extremely slowly manning the formation. Not qi remaining or any power. Just the last bit of "will" soaked into the bones.
Not a single person alive left after a quick probe with the use of Astral Sense once more. Worse than a ghost town. With not a single remain in the place with a spec of the soul remaining.
*Woom!* A concealment talisman was activated.
"Come..." Shen Yue muttered. The Towers were taken away as the Dimensional Tear closed. Setting them inside his Internal Space, his former bones thrown into the Flame Vortex Core. The power within pouring down into the Metal Seed. The lingering "will" reinforcing his mind. ".. reform!"
*Boom!* Shen Yue's body exploded then reformed all over again. His bones were stronger than before and his soul was reinforced a little. The bones and resources collected were used as a fire erupted around him under the Flame Vortex Core's refinement.
"Hehehe, excellent!" Shen Yue laughed a little. His bones saw "who" caused the trouble to himself and his people. "To take the path to kill Deities now.. defintely a goal to get behind!" The moment his muscles fully-formed he stood up. "Getting easier each time now. I better not become a masochist."
Watching the flesh regrow around his fingertips and his legs was intriguing. His hair growing out to reach down to his bak was odd. His height was at 6 feet even for some reason. His muscles were more compact and tighter than before. Blood enriched with Star Martial Arts methods. Skin infused with that of Dragon Martial Art methods.
*Fwish!* The production of spirit energy containing the undistinguishable traces of Flame. It would take a little finesse to separate that when doing stuff. He didn't have any trouble removing Lightning from it.
"I am going in, be prepared." Shen Yue put on some armor before going forward. Taking a few elixirs to restore the energy he know spent to improve the armor he now wore. The Thundergod Meteorite Sword in his right hand and the FLame Dagger in the other. "I don't want any casualties when I get back."
Inside the cave, several stones and gems were snatched off the wall and stored away. The 2nd Officer moving behind him closely with her Halberd drawn. The two moved at an even pace.
*Humm!* A pulse of sound echoed from the Metal Seed in his chest. The reverberation back giving him feedback of what was in the cave. A slight pull, the weapons, and armor were pulled into him.
"Legend Realm weapons and armor. Almost completely useless due to time." Shen Yue muttered. No sense in restoring when it can empower the Metal Seed further. His Astral Sense checked the various Interspatial Rings for anything. They were cleaned out then tossed into the Flame Vortex Core. "Take these, better looking than the ones I made so far."
"Thank you." The 2nd Officer took them happily. "Who could have killed all these people?" he skeletons adorning the place left much to be imagined. Before she would have been absolutely fearful of a creature capable of killing a Legend Realm cultivator. 'Hah, Master Shen Yue says its easy for Legend experts to get killed. I wonder how long it will take for me to breach beyond that?"
Shen Yue found one or two armors that actually were in working condition. Wind Spirit Battle armor and Snow Wind Battle Armor. The latter was given to the 2nd Officer with the first sored away to gift to one of the other Officers.
"Some a-hole did most likely. Best guess." Shen Yue was already understanding the way the armors worked. But it ould take while for it to digest then put into practice. Reaching the Barrier over the Black Spring, he placed his hands against it and started to absorb it. "Get ready."
The barrier started to dissipate as the Flame Vortex Core spun faster. The rich energy that created it gave a fresh feeling. The runic lines were already visible on his body.
*Fwish!* A woman in flames appeared above the water. Her white hair flowing from flames produced. Her clothing was ancient in appearance with a pair of rings on her wrists. A manifestation of both a soul and not a soul in a way. Mostly that of a remnant mixing with something.
The eyes open as power spread out. Red eyes like rubies containing a shine of their own that burned bright. There was also a faint flame moving over the surface of her body. Weird mists swirling around her.
"Master Shen Yue, she is very attractive." The 2nd office muttered. She blushed a little under her helmet. 'The force of power is the same as his own. But it feels.. more welcoming somehow.'
"I've waited countless years to meet someone, I am Yu Yan. The Fire Spiritual Goddess." Sensing the Laws and power around Shen Yue, she did not take him lightly. 'I can feel the desire to kill me coming from him. I do not even know him.'
"You dying will help me become stronger. Your time has technically passed. Take whatever you want to help your rationalize it. I don't really care right now." Shen Yue kept absorbing the barrier. His Astral Sense bypassing the barrier through his hands diving into the water down below. Finding what he was looking for, he started to understand the Divine Spark. "Hmmm?"
Behind, a few had entered the cave. Shen Xiu, Yang Xin, and Huyan Lanruo with a few soldiers. They sprinted to his location quickly.
"What is it? You are supposed to be manning the Killing Arrays."
"Well.. they wanted to come to see for some reason, so I just tagged along." Huyan Lanruo passed the buck quickly to the others. "I said we should have stayed up top." She received a dirty look from Xiao Ninger. "It's the truth." She shrugged at her.
"Shen Yue, whose is that woman?" Shen Xiu gave Yue Yan an appreciative glance over. 'This one works well enough. But is.. she just a piece of a soul?'
"A dead Spiritual God." Was his only answer. "She is preventing my use of Fire from advancing a little. Well, what I have theorized so far. If she is removed.. that will no longer be an issue. The backlash received before through a little confusion on the matter."
"If you are wrong?" Yang Xin asked.
"I still get a good cultivation resource." Shen Yue cold refined the soul and the Divine Spark to obtain something. Not to mention the knowledge she would have.
"You are going to cultivate her?" Xiao Ninger brow furrowed.
"Not her, the energy. What the heck are you thinking about girl?" He arched a brow at her looking back. Shaking the nonsense away, he focused back on the task at hand. 'I can feel my understanding of Law increasing from the Black Spring down below. Must take that as well.'
*Fwish!* Red white flames appeared not to far from him. The man-god Shango appeared with an impressive might. The Dark Moon forces were at the ready but held their attack at the signal of the 2nd Officer.
