Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: A Sudden Dispute

"What do you mean by asking when you can leave? Are you seriously thinking of going home right now? In that condition?" Ryuzaki asked instantly when he heard what Rami said.

He felt really mad.

Previously, he was greatly shocked by what happened.

He didn't think that someone would be wounded because of him. He really didn't think that someone would use their body to shield and protect him, not from a total stranger.

So he was really confused and didn't know how to react. On the other hand, he was kind of happy, really worried, and grateful. That's why when he saw Rami wake up, he felt excited, and some relief built inside him.

He felt kind of close to Rami now.

Instead of asking them where he is or what happened, he asks when he can leave. Ridiculous!

"Yeah, I just want to go home." Rami answered weakly and confusedly.

"That's not going to happen. You'll stay with us for a month or until you recover." Ryuzaki retorted as he decided. Not giving Rami any objections nor asking for the other's opinions.

"He'll stay with us for a month?" Amethyst asks with an unbelievable tone.

She can't believe what she heard. As a matter of fact, she didn't really believe it.

Yeah, Rami saved Ryuzaki, but how can they be sure that he did not have any motive?

Someone they know with a simple background will suddenly perform something awesome just how Rami did? Who will not suspect anything given their identity?

"I object." Amethyst concluded.

Yes, she's grateful for what Rami did. Yes, she was kind of worried about him. Even, add to it the guilt she felt about what she did to Rami. But that was it.

She didn't really think they needed to take care of him until he recovered. As for the others thinking they were ungrateful, they could simply pay the bill and cover his expenses until he got better—that would be enough. There was no need to take him to their nest.

"No, he'll stay with us." Ryuzaki insisted.

"Don't talk nonsense. If you're worried about him, then just cover his expenses till he recovers." Amethyst stated plainly. Not admitting defeat which makes the others frown with undisguised dissatisfaction and disappointment.

"What? He just saved Ryuzaki. I'm glad and thankful for that. But, it's not that great actually. We can all do that. Without any casualties, I might say. Also, with that kind of background of his, don't you feel suspicious? How can he do something like that? Unless he's a spy and just wants to take us off-guard so he can just make his way out through our group." Seeing the dissatisfaction and disappointment from his friends and her gang. Amethyst reasoned. Explaining righteously, not minding Rami who heard what she says.

Simultaneously, she gave Rami a nasty and suspicious look.

With a little point with what she said. The others' reactions changed. Except for Ryuzaki. Because he believed that Rami is not that kind of person.

"You can't just say that, how did you know? Are you just saying that because of what happened between you two? Don't be so pitiful." Ryuzaki frowned. He didn't like what Amethyst said about his savior.

Ryuzaki went nearer to Rami's bed.

"Ryu, don't make me like some kind of villain. You know me since we were in our elementary days. Then just someone of unknown origin, you suspect me and call me pity?" Amethyst yelled.

'Eh? What the hell is happening?' Rami silently questioned.

'They're just okay a while ago.'

But, what?

Me?

A spy?

What the heck?

He just saved one of them, and this girl called him a spy and said something bad about him?

Is she questioning my integrity?

He understands her point of view, since he's just a complete stranger to them. But did she really need to phrase it as if he had some bad intention behind what he did? Didn't she consider that he's just a normal, low-key person with skills, capable of doing that easily? That he simply wants to be a good Samaritan and do good deeds?

He's not a saint to just save someone, especially since he used his body as cover, by the way.

He is not a masochist— well partly. But he really doesn't care what will happen to those he didn't care for and love.

If Ryuzaki is not part of Dark's group, do they think that he'll do something?

If he's not part of his beloved's group, he'll just watch by the side, shrug it off when he knows it and be a passerby.

He can just die there for all he cares.

'This Amethyst is getting on my nerves.' Rami thinks dangerously. He felt very offended.

Rami stays silent, simply waiting and watching them, not expressing any of what he's feeling or thinking. He just unconsciously pouts where he is, hurt by their accusations.

The others, who had been silently glancing at him to read his expression, can't help but feel a little guilty.

"Don't be like this Amethyst. Ryuzaki is right. We can't just say that he's a spy without evidence. You never know, maybe he has some skills in that part." Garrette mediates between Amethyst and Ryuzaki.

He can tell that they're really about to quarrel for real this time.

"Ahh, so you're siding with Ryuzaki now? Why am I trying to explain here when all of you already take that unknown species' side? Should I just stay silent here when that scheming bitch just does whatever his intentions are and can put you in danger?" Amethyst argued, not giving up her stands.

"Then do you think that if he has some kind of ill intention I can't feel it? You know me, Amethyst. Am I that foolish and stupid in your eyes that I can't even tell? Amethyst I think you need to know that not everything goes exactly whatever you said and wanted. He saved me without further ado, and with only that, I believe that he's not that kind of person like you said he is. I won't argue with you further. Unlike you I am not ungrateful." As soon as Ryuzaki said that, without minding the others reaction.

He reached for an apple. He sat down at the chair beside the bed then proceeded to peel it.

He did not say anymore. Only concentrating on his task.

After finishing peeling the apple, Ryuzaki said to Rami with a soft voice, "Rami, don't mind her, listen to me, you're staying here until you recover. Right Boss?"

Ryuzaki turns to look at his boss, Dark, seeking confirmation from him. No matter what, Ryuzaki is determined to make Rami stay.

Ryuzaki doesn't know what is happening to him exactly. With a normal situation like this, he's on the side of Amethyst. No matter what she says and does as long as it's bearable and it's rational, he'll agree.

But not today. Rami saved him. He is now his savior.

He is the person who he is very grateful for now.

Why can't she just understand that? He just wanted to thank him. Also, his instinct keeps telling him that Rami is not that kind of person just like Amethyst says he is. So he followed it, as his instinct saved him in more dire and dangerous situations all the time.

Dark just looked at Ryuzaki without saying anything. After that, he looked at Rami who caused this commotion. Staring at his eyes as if searching for something in it.

Rami didn't know what Dark's thinking about while directly staring at him but— he couldn't look away.

As always, he was captivated by that gaze from his beloved again.

He knew that once he avoided his gaze, he would suspect him.

He didn't want his beloved to have any suspicion about it, so he met his stare, not avoiding it. He just looked at him with sincerity.

After a while, Dark blink.

"What do you think?" Dark asks Rami.

Not knowing what Dark meant, or whether he had any other intention, he agreed immediately.

He thought that, finally, he could be with Dark, even if just for a while, despite the others' objections. Any problems this might cause, he simply brushed aside. If they arose, he would face them and deal with them when the time came.

"If I'm not intruding then I thank you first." He said, smiling slightly at Dark.

"No I---" Amethyst was about to protest again when Dark cut her off.

"That's settled. But to make sure– don't expect anything. This is just for you, saving Ryuzaki. If you will do something else—- " After saying that, Dark, not finishing his word, directly left the room.

Leaving a warning to Rami.

This made Rami secretly smile evilly, full of obsession while the others didn't see.

'Heh, threatening me, my dear beloved? That's kind of bad are you.'
