Nora Harrow teased again, "Ask your husband to treat us to a meal and have a few drinks with me."
Tessa Caldwell's face changed like an actress's, and she snorted coldly, "Get lost, get lost, get lost, my husband isn't a host! Not talking to you anymore, I'm off to buy groceries."
With that, she decisively hung up the phone.
She quickly bought a large bag of groceries from the supermarket.
From afar, she saw a tall and upright man standing downstairs, and the familiar back made her quicken her pace and start jogging.
"Faye." Once she was sure, she called out softly.
Faye turned around and stepped towards her, "You're back, hurry up and go inside."
Tessa looked at him questioningly, "Aren't you coming up?"
Faye nodded lightly, "I have something to deal with and won't be back tonight. You sleep in my room and let Mom have the main room, okay?"
Tessa frowned and guessed, "Hmm? Did Mom say something not so nice to you and then kick you out again?"
