In the deep trench of the ocean, there was a god who oversaw the ocean life, and slept peacefully like usual. He only meets his siblings to hear their words and have a conversation with them to determine his actions. Most of the time they would bar him from intervening in the mortal world, fearing he would submerge the entire surface into the ocean because he had that power.
That was Poseidon, a wise ruler of the ocean and pillar of Olympus. He might not be as powerful as Zeus when it came to raw destruction but his might wasn't to be underestimated.
He fought gods and beings beyond any human's cognition and knew the ancient beings, including those from other pantheons.
" Who dared to disturb the peace of the ocean?"
Poseidon looked at Aquaman and Namor, intimidating them with his aura but to his surprise they resisted a little bit. This amused Poseidon who was bored recently and had nothing to do except spying on humans and punishing them.
" I am Arthur, King of Atlantis from another world. I know you are the guardian of the ocean and I believe you are here to stop us.
This man in front of you started a war with the surface world and summoned otherworldly beings to this world."
Poseidon narrowed his eyes at his words, looking at Namor with slight coldness. Obviously, he knew who he was and didn't say much to him to convey his thoughts.
Namor didn't back down from his gaze, raising his head to match his eyes as a king. He withstood his pressure, not wanting to bow before his people for he was their greatest pillar.
" I did this for the good of the ocean. Humankind has been polluting the ocean for centuries and they even invaded my kingdom to get my treasure.
I won't tolerate their actions anymore and I will conquer the surface to stop their foolishness."
The ocean water raged from Poseidon's wrath, creating immense heat waves from nothingness as Poseidon waved his trident. The living beings stopped their movements, looking at him with fear because he was the will of the ocean.
" Don't you dare talk with me like that, child? I have nurtured your kind and given them a place to live. Ocean is benevolent to all and neutral toward conquest. But you dare to use your title to attack the surface!
Furthermore, you took the hand of the alien beings and summoned beasts from other worlds to upset the balance of the ocean. Do you take me as a fool?"
His voice contained immense power that sent chills to the spines of the soldiers who were standing next to their rulers. They could feel he could kill them if he wanted to do so but he didn't in the end.
" Deal with the beast and the army that you brought. I don't want any aliens in this place. Otherwise, deal with the wrath of the ocean and surely you know that isn't a good thing for your people."
Poseidon didn't care about their conflict but he cared about otherworldly creatures which upset the balance and so he ordered Namor to stop them.
Without any choice, Namor agreed to his request, deciding to save his people because that was the most important thing.
" I understand. I will follow the will of the ocean and cease my attack for now."
Poseidon nodded with a calm face, turning his head toward Aquaman. He then rubbed his beard, disappearing into bubbles while leaving Aquaman with confusion.
Meanwhile on the surface
The war raged on as the allied ships and enemy ships shelled each other with continuous bombardment. The allied ships were going strong thanks to servants who were protecting them from the monster which was destroying everything on its way.
Its huge body and energy attack were a major threat to them and it could constrict a ship if it was near them. Hence, servants were fighting against him to kill this creature out of desperation.
They couldn't use their full powers for it was too dangerous and it might reveal their identities to their enemies which made things a hundred times difficult.
" These fucking mages are so difficult to deal with. How do we even find them?"
Teach cursed out loud, scratching his head with frustration on his face.
