Grey remained unmoved, making the Man panic. If he did not stop the Gnome, Grey would end up dead, and if Grey dies, he was certain he would not be able to survive against the Gnome on his own. He knew the reason the Gnome had not taken out his Puppet all this while was for fear of Grey abruptly cutting off his link and incapacitating him for a second. If not for this fear, the Gnome would have definitely dealt with him when they were fighting earlier. Now, he was faced with a dilemma: to use a secret technique to stop the Gnome and be bedridden for a few months, or wait and watch if Grey would be able to create a miracle.
'What if he's unable to move?' As soon as this thought came to his mind, he became drenched in sweat. If the technique Grey was using required him to stay out, then there was no way he would be able to avoid the Gnome's attack.
