Hale was shocked, that this pet was extraordinarily intelligent. How could he even call it a pet; Eggy's beauty was on par with Dia.
He had read many books, and only those pet eggs that are above the cyan-colored shell will develop such a mind and intelligence. Now that he looked closer, inside of the cracked egg-shells is colored with hints of gold. He was astonished, did this egg attempt to deceive everyone and hide itself. It was definitely at the golden-spirit pet level. "What luck." Hale exclaimed inwardly.
"Did Aunt Martha know what she handed him? And if she did, what will she do?" Hale asked himself. "Well let's not think about it. Anyways Aunt Martha probably knew already." Hale confidently told himself.
Dia was teaching Eggy many words using the dictionary that she herself uses. Eggy is extremely intelligent. Only needing very little mental power and time to memorize said words she read, and to fully understand them.
She even used each new word that she learned
and constructed a sentence using said word, that she would than say to Dia, asking to correct her if she was mistaken.
Hale was immersed with his training and still trying to perceive the Astral Threading Step, which is a very powerful footwork. But he could not comprehend it, no matter how hard he tried. He then would take a break and see Eggy's shocking progress.
"Mast-- I mean Ha-Hale. Do you want something to drink?" Eggy asked him sweetly but attentively. Hale told her to stop calling him 'Master' and address him by his name instead.
She was really vexed that she had to call him by his name, as she was hard-coded between the contract signed between a master and the pet, which regulates the first rule, 'Obey and respect your Master at all costs'. She finally got used to calling him by his name, as she thought this was a direct order.
Eggy offered Hale a glass of juice and she even reached for a fresh towel and tentatively wiped away the sweat that his skin had collected. He blushed and was very shy, at this moment. This was the first time a female, around his age, had any physical contact with him, except for Dia, who would usually beat him up.
Eggy looked more charming when she was upfront and closer to him, Hale thought inwardly. She had a different charm compared to Dia. Eggy was more lively and much more easy going.
Diana had arrived from her shopping spree. She appeared behind Hale and the others, like a ghost. Eggy had sensed something and took a defensive stance, making herself combat-ready. Diana was shocked. "Who left their little girl at her valley?" She asked herself.
Hale calmed down Eggy, saying this was their mother. When Hale explained to Diana what had happened, even she lost her cool. She was astounded because something is definitely wrong. Because she had seen plenty of gold-spirit pets, but nothing like Eggy.
"Eggy is probably not a spirit pet! I think." Diana said to them rather slowly like she is also trying to accept what she is seeing, to be possible.
Diana continued, "Because I have seen other spirit pets at the gold-level. They are less ethereal and have a slight glow which exudes a strong spiritual power. Whilst Eggy have non of those traits and she seems completely real and ethereal. What did you all see when she hatched?"
"A very strong radiance of light was present and that's when Eggy emerged from the light." Dia explained accurately about what she saw.
"A strong light you say? Hmm... this is even more weird. When a spirit pet hatches from an egg, a portal forms which is not distinct nor invisible. The portal usually takes any shape, required to fit the size of the pet." Diana explained looking at Eggy like she saw something very weird and otherworldly. If one noticed clearly, Diana was doing her best to rush this explanation for some unknown reason.
The portal leads to the spirit pet's world. There is only 6 spirit worlds that are currently known. Can Eggy be from a very far away spirit world that is not yet discovered?" Diana thought to herself. Even if Eggy was a spirit pet, how can she be classified as a spirit pet without the glow or inactive spiritual aura. Diana was trying to think of spirit worlds.
"Mother, Is Eggy not a spirit pet?" Hale asked.
"I'm not sure myself." Diana replied semi-conciously, she looked like she was contemplating about the existence of other spirit worlds but in reality it was something entirely different.
Diana couldn't concentrate any longer or think straight. She was slightly shivering, afraid of something. If one noticed closely, she appeared to have some goosebumps.
