He didn't know what to say when the situation had become so dire.
He had never liked people who did whatever they pleased simply because they believed they had enough power to escape the consequences. There were always people like that in the world. They walked through cities as if everyone else existed only to move out of their way. They took what they wanted, destroyed what they disliked, and laughed when someone weaker tried to stop them.
He hated that kind of person.
But hatred alone wasn't enough.
If he had possessed the power to stop them, perhaps things would have been different. He could have stood in front of them and told them that they had gone too far. He could have made them understand that there were consequences to their actions.
Unfortunately, he didn't have that kind of power.
That was the part that frustrated him the most.
