Chapter 17 - Uncle, You're Back!

Luo Tiantian waited for a long time, but Xue Feimo kept his head down, lost in thought, not paying her any attention at all.

A glint flashed through her eyes as she pushed open the door and skipped over to Xue Feimo's side with tiny quick steps.

Before Xue Feimo even had time to react, she reached out a few fingers and pinched his cuff tightly, giving it a little shake.

Then, her bright, sparkly doe eyes blinked up at him as she whined in a syrupy, sticky voice, "Uncle~"

"..." Xue Feimo.

The pen in Xue Feimo's hand almost snapped in two.

He couldn't help but tremble. "Get away from me."

Too scary. Women with thick skin and questionable sanity were just too damn scary.

He abruptly stood up, yanked his cuff from Luo Tiantian's hand, and strode out in big steps.

Xue Feimo's usually expressionless face twisted into something like he'd just seen a ghost—then he bolted for the door.

"Pfft, hahaha…" Luo Tiantian couldn't hold back and burst out laughing.

Any trace of gloom in her heart was miraculously swept away.

Ah, as expected, making someone else suffer a loss is the fastest way to feel good about yourself.

She finally understood why Xue Feimo always liked teasing and messing with her.

Turns out, bullying people was actually pretty fun.

Thinking that guy probably wouldn't come back for a long time, Luo Tiantian plopped herself down in his executive chair, spun around, and turned her back to the computer.

With a big-shot CEO like him, obviously all his work was super confidential.

The last thing she wanted was to get tricked by Xue Feimo's schemes again.

She lifted her eyes to the window—a round, full moon hung high in the sky, with stars twinkling all around.

Nights like this always made people drift off into memories.

"Qiaoqiao, I met someone in another world who looks exactly like you.

He doesn't have your gentle warmth, or your sunny, laid-back charm, and he definitely doesn't spoil me like you did.

Your personalities and vibes are like two extremes.

One's like the sun, the other's like the moon." Luo Tiantian murmured to herself.

Yeah, wasn't her description spot on?

Qiaoqiao was like the sun, radiating an unstoppable brilliance wherever he went.

But Xue Feimo was like the bright moon hanging high in the sky.

Even when he's shrouded in darkness, he's still surrounded by countless stars.

They were both the type who never stopped shining in their own way, no matter what.

It made people want to get close to them, want to become like them.

Just when Luo Tiantian was lost in her melancholy, footsteps sounded behind her.

She blinked, brushing all her thoughts aside.

In an instant, a pure, innocent grin lit up her face as she spun around quickly, "Uncle~ you're back~"

She deliberately dragged out the last note, making it impossible not to get goosebumps.

Xue Feimo frowned, tossing the T-shirt in his hand right onto Luo Tiantian's head.

It covered up the little face he really didn't want to see. His voice was low and stern, "Just wear this jersey for now. Go buy your own clothes tomorrow."

When he was in the walk-in closet earlier, he'd paused for a moment at the shirts.

But just picturing his shirt draped on Luo Tiantian filled him with an uncontrollable shiver of disgust.

So, after careful consideration, he dug out a jersey from his university days instead.

As he was thinking this, the little brat in front of him suddenly looked at him all forlorn and asked, "Uncle, does Sweetie not deserve your shirt?"

"..." Caught off guard, Xue Feimo met those drunken-looking eyes of hers head-on.

For a split second, he felt like those eyes had some soul-stealing magic in them.

He saw all the sly cunning hidden in her gaze, and narrowed his eyes at her.

He grabbed Luo Tiantian's wrist, squeezing—
