Julian took her cup, placed it aside, and lay back down.
Scarlett looked at him, not wanting to move at all, but she was afraid he might continue.
It had been the whole night, and this man seemed not to have calmed down yet.

Scarlett said, "I really need to go take a shower. Look, it's so late."
She hadn't turned on her phone, so she didn't actually know what time it was.
But she was tired.
Having just returned home today, then going to the hospital in the evening, she was truly exhausted and wanted a good sleep.
"Hmm." Julian pulled her back into his arms, knowing that her wanting to shower was an excuse and that avoiding him was the real desire.
