Synopsis
Christian, a 22 year-old male in the US. Most would think this is normal, but his story is slightly different. He is cold to the world, not giving a rats lick. Someone dying in front of him gives no reaction. Only if the person benefits him would he be slightly annoyed that they died. But if that person is his little one, HIS woman, then pray to all the gods you know, for not even they can save you from what comes next. Now stick that man in a world where killing is allowed and death is everywhere. That is what you'll see as ge enters a game that shall take the world by storm. Infinite Possibilities: Two Worlds This is my first book, so if you find any mistakes or plot holes or anything that would crash the book, feel free to point it out. Your criticism is my form of growth, so fire away.

Chapter 1 - Before the game

IMPORTANT: Read the tags. Don't know why I have to state this, but some people just randomly read books without seeing the tags and then complain when the book has something in it that they don't like. It's not an author's fault that you don't read the tags before reading. So kindly read the tags, and don't say I didn't warn you.

"Hey Christian, what are you going to do about the upcoming new VRMMO coming out?" A man of 6 feet asked another man standing next to him. The first man had raven short hair with black eyes and a decent build. The man next to him, Christian, was also 6 foot. He had chocolate brown hair and eyes with a stocky build. He, who was asked the question, answered, "Don't know. Most likely, I'll buy the headgear first, make some quick cash, and then buy the actual pod."

"You do you, man." The other guy stated while looking out into the empty street ahead of them. They were both sitting on a railing of a dilapidated house in what seemed a run-down neighborhood. The time was close to midnight, and the moon was high above them alone in a cloudless sky.

"What about you, Nathan?" Christian asked the now identified man, Nathan. "What are you going to do?"

"Well, duh, I'll buy the pod straight away." Nathan stated with a "you stupid" face.

"Sounds like you." Christian stated while crushing out the spent cigarette he had in his hand. "I'm off, got to get the helmet and get back to my place 'fore servers launch." He then jumped down and started walking toward the nearest game store to buy himself a headgear.

It took him 1 and a half hours to get there, 5 and a half to camp the door, and another 10 minutes to fight to get a headgear before finally heading home. Getting home by 0830, he set the headgear down and opened the box it was in. Starting it up didn't take long, but downloading the game did.

By the time it finished downloading, Christian had already eaten breakfast and got in a short workout. It was 11:55, and he picked up the head gear and walked towards his very comfy chair in his small room inside his small apartment that he was barely keeping up with rent for. the apartment only had a bathroom, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a living room.

Before settling down in the chair, Christian looked around his room. For a 22 year old living off a career writing web novels he thought he was doing okay. He grew up in a 2 parent household, he had four siblings, he didn't go hungry, and most of all, he was content.

Or not. He was different from your normal person. While others would cry or feel empathy for someone's misfortunes, he wouldn't care. H*ll he'd be wishing for some refreshments while he watched the misery. He had a way to describe himself to others, a way that perfectly stated how he viewed the world. 'I'm a sadistic ba*tard who only cares about myself, my little one, and those that benefit me.'

Those words were the only thing that he followed. If you weren't his little one, nor were you someone who benefited him, then he didn't care about you. Not even if you died right in front of him. He'd only stand there watching with a dead face. No care, maybe a small sadistic smile would grace his lips, but besides that, nothing.

With a small anticipating smile, he sat down, placed the headgear on his head, and logged into the first ever FIVRMMORPG: Infinite Possibilities: Two Worlds at 1200 sharp.
