Zyron's POV
I pulled off the cloth tied around her mouth.
"Zyron… you're here."
Savvanah's voice trembled with relief, tears forming in her eyes.
I didn't say anything. My mind went blank the moment I saw her.
I didn't expect this. I thought Trixy would be the one here—this was supposed to be the address the kidnappers gave me. But it wasn't her. It was Savvanah.
Still, I had to save her.
She was pregnant—and I was the father of the child she carried.
I hurried to untie her ropes, but the moment I reached behind her chair, my pulse stopped. There was something strapped to her back.
A bomb.
A small red timer blinked.
10:00 minutes left.
I froze, my breath catching. Then I pressed a hand to the comm device in my ear.
"Mama… we have a problem."
"What is it, hijo?" her calm but worried voice answered on the other end.
"There's a bomb attached to Savvanah."
"A bomb?!" she gasped. "Okay, listen carefully. Can you describe it to me? What kind of bomb are we talking about?"
