Walking out to the patio with Gretta, "Mr and Mrs Collin, this is a surprise, now my little Angel, go to Grandma."
Seeing her hesitation, "It's all right, don't be afraid, " Looking at them, "I believe you all need to visit more regularly, our baby is becoming a very smart girl."
When Liz brought her bottle, "Liz, will you check on Tray and bring him to see his grandparents?"
Liz hurriedly responded, "Yes, Sir."
"Mr MacCarty, my brother, told me Torren got discharged from the hospital and is looking much better." Mrs Collins smiled as she leaned back on the sofa.
"I can't complain, but he still has his bad days, but God is good, and the treatment is working slowly."
"What do you mean?" Mr Collins asks.
"Well, he still goes on his silent mode just like when he was in the hospital, but then you won't know, you never visited him. I shouldn't complain, though, having him home is all I have been praying for, and for him to realise that these precious gems are his."
"Mr MacCarty, we know our daughter's death had driven him out of his mind, but we are glad to hear he is fine once more. My brother also told us that you have a house guest, so we were hoping to meet her."
"Why, she had only visited us yesterday and had dinner, then we dropped her home."
"You mean she isn't here?"
"Mr Collin, I am afraid so, didn't Paul tell you she was just visiting, and we had dinner, that's all."
"From the description Paul gives us, we meet a few lovely people while on tour, and she fits the description of your guest."
"Well, I am sorry you made a wasted run. If I knew you wanted to meet her, I would have invited her to stay the night. Maybe before she returns to Chicago, she will visit us again."
Putting down Gretta's bottle, Train said gently to Gretta, "Now Papa will get his little angel a snack?"
Calling out to Liz. "Yes, Sir, you call?"
"Take Gretta to the kitchen and give her a snack of her choice."
Noticing she glanced at the bottle and smiled, seeing the bottle empty, "Yes, Sir, I will do that. She deserves a treat.
"I see, she has grown a lot since we last visited." Mrs Collin responds.
"Yes, she has, and since my return, she clings to me, but I don't mind; she is my precious grandchild."
"We are sorry for not visiting the two children earlier, but our tour ended a few months ago, and it took us a while to settle down."
Wanting to laugh, seeing through their lying, Train just shakes his head, listening to their deception, noticing how cunningly Mr Collin smiles before saying,
"Mr MacCarty, our journey was a bit rough, and our health was not a hundred per cent when we returned home."
They only heard that my guest was with Torren, and they reached out immediately, but they neglected their grandchildren for over two years.
"I understand, Mr Collin, there is no need to explain to me, who knows better than I what it's like on the road."
When Jeff announced that he wanted to take Tray with him to get ice cream, 'Train felt so relieved by the way they kept glaring at the child.
Hearing Torren's voice, "Jeff, I will go along for the ride."
Train calls out to Torren, "Torren, one minute, Son, you have a visitor."
Observing when he looks at them, as though trying to recollect, then he smiles, "Hello Mom, Dad, how are you?"
"We are fine, Son, and you look well-rested." Mr Collin replies.
"Yes! I am, now, if you will excuse me, Jeff is waiting."
A few minutes passed, then Train saw Torren returning, calling out to him, "Torren, I thought you were going with Jeff, have you changed your mind?"
Observing when he brushes the tears away, standing up, Train went to him, "What is wrong, Torren?"
Torren didn't hide the tears as they rolled down his face. His behaviour was so much like a five-year-old kid.
Train realised that Jeff had left him intentionally, because I knew Jeff had heard Torren say he wanted to go.
Patting him on his shoulder. "Don't worry, son, I have to get a few things, you can go with me."
"Dad, I have to go into town to get Careen's medication. Torren could go with me for the company, if he wants to. Just make a list of the things you will need, and Dad, I will need to use your van if that is okay?"
"Go ahead, Son, my few things are not important, you two can go."
Watching them go, 'Train knew Jeff heard him,' as anger boiled inside him, sitting once more with his guest.
Hearing them say as they stood up, "Mr MacCarty, we have an engagement this evening and have to go, but we will visit soon, now that Torren is home." Mrs Collin said with a smile.
They seemed relieved when he stood up, "Don't you want to say goodbye to Gretta?"
"Let her play, we will visit again," Mrs Colling replies.
They waved as they drove away, knowing they had visited for one purpose, and that was only to see who his guest was.
'Oh Father God, you are so awesome and wonderful, Father, what might seem shattered or scattered, even worrisome in my eyes and mind, it was a plan of yours to save my family. You had the foreknowledge of what tomorrow holds. Lord, I thank You so much, and I know You will take care of her.'
When Jeff entered the hallway, Lasandra was holding Tray's hand, and he was crying. "Come, Son, tell Papa what is wrong?"
