It had been days since the plan to capture Sofia Lanzo had failed. The security team in charge of her protection had been debriefed and replaced. General Billy Homes had reassigned eight other security officers to her detail, and the new safe house location was known to only a few people.
Sofia Lanzo had requested to see Katie Goris, but her request had been met with silence. General Billy walked into the sitting room where Sofia was watching a movie. As soon as she saw him, she quickly muted the TV and asked, "Why am I being treated like a prisoner?"
General Billy raised an eyebrow and smiled mockingly. "Who dares to treat you like a prisoner? You're our most esteemed guest. Four of my men are in the hospital with serious injuries because they were protecting you."
