In the suburbs, everything was different. There were not normal buildings anymore, but only houses build with what people could use to build, for example old and used wood from rests from other parts, that were used later to build with them walls. The people used everything they found to build, and it did not matter what.
Noah was very surprised to see this view, then he did not expect that the people had such bad conditions living here. He thought that maybe they would not have enough food or that they were cold in the winter, but only the houses here were sufficient to make people cry. Even the animal stables that he saw in the villages and other places were better than these buildings.
Noah continued his way and saw a lot of people sitting in the streets with zero hopes. Noah knew that this people reached the human limit of acceptance of their lives, they did not like their lives at all and they waited to starve to death.
He could not only see the people like this and wanted to help them somehow, so he decided to do what he was able to do and that was buying food. He had enough money and there was enough food in the city to buy, so why not to give a meal to the people here and do something good.
"ok decided, before searching for anything, I should give them something to eat."
Noah then directly went back to the city center and went to the market and began to buy everything he could.
"Young man, why are you buying so much food? This is more than any big family would need to eat." Said a seller there as Noah was buying some fruits from him.
"Ah, nothing. I need them for a big meeting, nothing important." Replied Noah vaguely, he did not want to let them another person know what he wanted to do.
Noah then took all the bags full with food with him with the help of a carriage and then he rolled to the suburbs again.
Once in the suburbs, Noah could see how people were looking at him with curiosity and they looked like hungry hyenas. But nobody dared to steal something from him, because of an easy to explain reason. And that was that they never knew if they were handling with a normal person or with a cultivator. If the person that they wanted to steal was a cultivator, then without doubt they had already signed their death sentences and they should wait for to die.
After reaching the central part of the suburbs, Noah called a few men that were sitting there and looked lifeless.
"Hey, come here!"
"You, too!"
Those three people that were called by Noah were nervous and did not know what to do, because they could not say no. So, they stood up and approached Noah with caution. They looked very nervous and they did not understand what a rich kid wanted from them, so they had to ask.
"Young master, we did nothing to you. What do you want from us?" Asked the oldest one from those three men, that looked 30 years old.
"I thought you were hungry, and I wanted to give you something to eat, therefor you will help me for a day." Said Noah with a friendly smile. His smile could make the people relax and produced a trust feeling in those people.
"Really?" Asked the youngest one from the group and made a step forward to Noah with excitation.
But then he was stopped by the oldest one, that still looked with suspicious and then he said:
"Do you think we are stupid; I saw many people like you that kidnapped young people like him and then disappeared forever."
The young man that was excited before, was now scared by the words of the old man. He also knew stories about the people that disappeared in the suburbs after accepting strange offers from strangers. Nobody knew what happened after they disappeared, they never came back, and the people forgot about them after a time. Even the city lord did nothing against this, so nobody else would care also.
"No, do not worry. We will not leave this place, and nobody will disappear today. The work is also here, so you will be the whole day here and everybody will see you the whole day. I would do the work alone, but I need more hands. So, I saw you and offered you the job. Believe me, the people here would thank you later."
The suspicious in their eyes vanished a little, but they were still precautious.
"Ok, come and eat something. Eat as much as you want." Noah took a bag from the carriage and gave it to the three and then they began to eat. They were eating very fast, as if they were scared that the food would disappear in the next moment. It was a strange view for Noah again, to experience something like this for the first time was not easy. And more if you never saw this before and only heard about it, then he was raised in a rich family and he had everything he wanted since he was born. Even if he had no parents with him the whole time and could only hear stories about them.
As they finished eating, they began to stare at Noah and waiting. They waited to know what the job was, for this plenty food, they would do almost everything.
"This is the plan, in this carriage is enough food for everyone in the suburbs. Go and tell everyone that there is free food today and that they should have no fear to come and eat something. After you called them all here, come and help me to distribute the food."
Suddenly the three of them were completely stunned and could not hide their excitement. They could not believe that someone really wanted to help them. Since they could remember everyone tried to avoid the suburbs and did not wanted to have something to do with it. But now a young man wanted to help them. Even if it were only one time in a life time, they would see their friends and families eating their stomach full for once.
