I nodded at Yuki's explanation. I had never known there were spirits in my past life. Nothing like magic existed before, or maybe I was the only one who didn't know about it. But it was impossible that I knew nothing. I had never heard of this before, but now I couldn't fully believe that this world was not the same as before.
"Can humans see spirits, Yuki?" I asked Yuki, who looked at me with a brimming smile.

When a spirit uses enormous power many times until their magic runs out, they use their life as a substitute for magic power. "Is that the reason why you were scared of me the first time we met?" I asked him again, and he nodded at my words.
