Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: tutorial part 2

"Yes!" Ace exclaimed.

The tutorial was the moment Ace truly wanted. The instant he agreed, the environment around him shifted. He was transported to a detailed map. At his back stood a glowing blue Fountain, its waters so pristine they made any real-world river look murky. Directly ahead, he saw a large, crystal-like structure, flanked by two towering blue sentinels, standing parallel like castle guards. Stretching into the distance were three distinct paths (lanes), each guarded by its own blue tower. Between the lanes, dark, realistic-looking jungles were dense with trees and rock formations.

Ace quickly glanced at the upper corner of his view and confirmed the red and blue gauges.

<[Mini Map]: Displays real-time data of the overall map, including enemy and allied locations. Enemies are only visible if they are within the sight range provided by allied minions, hero line-of-sight, towers, or trinkets. It is placed in the upper-left corner of your view.>

Ace observed the box displaying the map. It was clearly divided into a Red side and a Blue side, with his current position being the Blue side. Each side mirrored the other, featuring eleven circles and one larger circle, representing the structures.

"Alright, let's begin!" Ace took his very first step into the game, a moment that felt like a dream come true. He walked slowly along the stone-paved path, reveling in the satisfying realism of the virtual pavement under his feet. Every step felt like a passage into a new heaven.

He continued his deliberate stroll until he reached the third tower of the middle lane—the outermost defensive structure. From this point onward, the path was bordered by lush, green forest on both sides. Ace took another long moment to appreciate the stunning, realistic scenery, noting the detailed moss covering the rock formations.

"What a beautiful view! This is beyond HD quality!" Ace exclaimed, instantly falling in love with the landscape. He could feel the texture of the rough stone walls and the coarse bark of the trees, senses comparable to real life.

After a surprisingly long journey, he finally arrived at the first tower of the middle lane.

Five enemy minions materialized in front of Ace: four clad in silver armor with red-colored capes, and one wearing a red robe. They immediately began jogging toward the center of the map, where they met an identical wave of allied minions, distinguished only by their blue coloring.

The two minion waves engaged instantly, exchanging basic attacks in a predictable pattern, their health bars decreasing equally.

"So, how exactly does the attack function work here?" Ace asked the AI. He knew treating this game like a traditional mobile or PC MOBA would be foolish; he had to master the rules of full-dive VR combat.

Following the instruction, Ace quickly drew the sword from his scabbard, swinging it tentatively left and right.

"The sword actually has weight, even in the game," he noted, still marveling at the realism.

With a focused burst of speed, Ace dashed toward one of the armored enemy minions, thrusting his blade forward. Upon impact, the minion's HP bar reduced by one-fifth. He followed up with four rapid, precise strikes, and with the fifth blow, the minion crumpled to the ground.
