The sudden scream echoed throughout the room, startling Qin Feimo, who was taking a nap on the sofa, awake. He opened his eyes abruptly, looking shocked and thinking something had happened to her.

For her sake, he had stayed up all night here, only for her first words to be telling him to leave.
