The morning sunlight poured softly through the curtains of the dressing room, casting gold over the polished floor. The scent of cologne and freshly pressed clothes lingered in the air. Claude stood near the wardrobe, shirt half-buttoned, watching his wife move with exaggerated silence—sharp, deliberate, and absolutely refusing to even glance at him.

Mio stood in front of the mirror, brushing her hair with slow, rhythmic strokes. Her reflection showed the faint pout still painted on her lips, and Claude couldn't decide if she was adorable or terrifying.

"You're really going to ignore me all morning?" he asked, tone light and teasing.

Silence.

Mio placed the brush down, turned slightly, and gave him a look that could make an army retreat. Then she reached for her blouse—only for the hem of it to catch on a hanger behind her. The hanger wobbled, and in one clumsy motion, she lost her balance.

Claude instinctively moved forward, hand shooting out to catch her. "Careful, love—"
