Chapter 32 - Lonely

She didn't really need help getting ready but she wouldn't mind the company.

The two talked a little about things like celebrity news and latest fashion trends. Bi Yue was very sweet except she had a habit of talking a little too much.

"You know I never thought that Mr. Su would ever have someone else living in this house. Especially a woman!"

"...."

"I was so surprised when I heard the news but when I saw you it all made sense! You really are a beauty no wonder Mr. Su would-"

Li Hua looked at her watch and noticed the time.

"Oh shoot! I have to go!"

Li Hua quickly grabbed her things and headed out the door. The previous night, Su LingTian had told her that a car would be there to take her to and pick her up from work.

Just as he said, outside was a car waiting for her.

The drive to work wasn't bad as there wasn't any traffic. Walking into the building, the bartender greeted her at the door with a worried expression.

"Are you ok? I heard what happened."

"Yes I'm fine. Thank you for worrying about me."

"Just tell me if you see those men again and I'll make sure they never think about coming here again."

Li Hua laughed, "Will do."

She doubted they would come back though. Seeing how the fled like insects the moment Su LingTian appeared they probably wouldn't bother her any more.

She went to the back room and got ready. She pulled out her sheet music and went to sit at the piano.

The day went by quickly. The large crowds of people began to come in and she played light music. She had to give it to herself. The music really did complement the atmosphere of the place.

When she was taking a break she talked a little with some of the staff. Apparently, there was going to be a big charity event in a few days.

"Yeah, every year there's this charity banquet thrown by some big company. Most of the upper class attend to donate."

Li Hua rolled her eyes, "More like show off."

When she was younger she had been to a few events. That's where she learned that the life of the rich was nothing but a big competition. Especially for Feng Mian. It was almost embarrassing to see her flaunt her wealth.

"Oh I'd love to go! Especially to see all the men!"

One of the waitresses said.

"Yeah especially Ju Ting!"

"Ju Ting?" Li Hua asked.

"You don't know who Ju Ting is? Have you been living under a rock?" One of the girls said with a shocked look on her face.

"He's the young master of the Ju family. The Ju's own Ju Ent. Which is one of the biggest entertainment companies around."

"Recently, him and his brother Ju Wei have been fighting over the position of CEO. It's all in the news!"

"Ah I see."

She may have played piano but she had no big interest in the drama in the industry. Quickly, The break was over and she had to return to work.

Walking outside the bar she peeked out slightly from the door to look around. She was sure she wanted to continue to work here but that didn't mean she wasn't cautious. She saw the same black car waiting for her along the curb. She turned around to say goodbye to her coworkers and quickly ran out the door.

When she got home, she went up to her room. She ate dinner at work so she was getting tired. She took off her clothes and hopped in the shower.

Feeling the warm water surround her she inhaled, there was a sweet scent of roses from the candle nearby. She let out a small sigh, This felt good.

She sat there for a few more minutes before she finally got out. When she was getting ready to go to bed she heard a knock at the door.

"Come in."

Bi Yue opened the door and cleared her throat.

"Young Ms. Mr. Su would like to talk with you for a moment."

"Ah I see."

She walked with Bi Yue down to the living room where Su LingTian sat reading some documents. Seeing her walk in he put them down and looked at her.

"Thank you Ms. Bi, you may leave now."

Bi Yue quickly left the room leaving Li Hua alone with him.

She walked over to the chair opposite of him and returned his gaze.

"What is it?"

He looked off to the side. "My mother is tired of waiting and wants to meet you this weekend."

"Huh?"

"Yes. I've tried to push it off as much as I can but she won't stop insisting. She's already scheduled a reservation at a restaurant as well."

"Ah I see."

So there was no way around it. She couldn't help but feel nervous. Fake or not she was meeting his parents for the first time. What if they didn't like her? Then what? Did they know about what happened in school.

Almost a million questions surged through her mind but on the outside she stayed composed.

Keeping a straight face she asked, "What day?"

"This Saturday."

Today was only Wednesday, so at least she had a few days to prepare.

"Ok, well thank you for letting me know."

Without waiting another second, She got up and walked away.

Su LingTian watched her leave when he noticed something, as she was walking out the door he saw her hand pulling on her wrist.

She was nervous.

He sighed, "I wish she could be more honest with me."

Alone in the room, it was hard to ignore the sense of loneliness that encapsulated him.
