To prevent attacks from wild beasts.
The view from the tree is broad, making it convenient to observe the surroundings.
Lu Hualiang had spent nights in the woods before; he understood these basic concepts.
He had no objections to Xia Weibao's suggestion of everyone taking a separate tree.
He even thoughtfully said, "It's late, let's sleep now; we still have to hurry on tomorrow."
"Okay."
Xia Weibao leaped up onto one of the large trees, the trunk was thick, she found a spot where she could both sit and lean her back, and then covered herself with a cloak as it was quite chilly at night.
Just as she was about to sleep, she heard wolves howling from not far away.
"Awooo—"
"Awooo awooo—"
Initially, it was just one or two howls, but then they became increasingly frequent.
And they were coming from different directions, Xia Weibao's expression changed, "There's a pack of wolves!"
Encountering a wolf pack while spending the night in the woods is extremely dangerous.
