Chapter 1 - Two Bros Can Dream

The Constellation Union was apart of everyday life throughout the continent. All their rules and mandates trickled down into the many different nations. It was impossible not to follow the union when the world's strongest were at the top. After years of wars with the beast waves, humanity was able to defend its land with the formation of the Constellation Union. The continent was united for once. After the calamity, In order to not limit human growth, in case of future catastrophes, the Constellation Union formed the Constellation Cup, the premier competition to continue pushing humanity in case of a future calamity...

The ConstellationNET was the Constellation Groups information hub, here citizens of all the nations essentially had full access to learn everything there was regarding the Constellation Union. The best way to communicate any goals and objectives of the union were to leverage an easy to use network that was accessible to all, hence the ConstellationNET was created. There was a community forum for everything, cooking, politics, new technology, you name it. It was especially filled with the Constellation Cup news, live streams, and was a key source of entertainment on the continent. With the offseason approaching and the Constellation Cup over, the break had begun for many teams.

"Strava Team - Constellation Cup Champions - Declare this is the beginning of the Strava Dynasty. Asks for everyone to strive and push the human race to the limit."

"Royal City - Royal Flush Team hires former team ace, Kaiser Black as their trainer."

"A Rank finalists teams Condor Heroes, Team Cloud promoted to S League."

"Dranz Raynor, 'King Dranz', begins his Constellation military service."

Today's news highlights were plenty to hit the ConstellationNET. However lost in it all were a few other headlines.

"Blackstar Battleteam acquired by Daeshim Yoon."

"Blackstar Battleteam Ownership Starts Anew. Fires long time coach Kaz Fulgram."

In a small run down, yet cozy room, Two young men sat across from each other reading the news on their phones while laying on their beds.

One student had blonde hair and white skin, this student was chubby. This student reached for his cup of coffee.

"Zeph, do you think we will be able to get into the Westwind Club?"

The student with black hair and appeared to be of Asian descent spoke up.

"Colbee, to be honest..." said Zeph, scratching his nose, "I don't feel good about our chances. But we have no choice! It's either this or we will probably work construction or farm jobs for the rest of our life. And its not even like we are good looking. The world is against us already. Heck we dont even know who our parents are."

Zeph and Colbee were two longtime friends who grew up in the same orphanage in Leo City. Growing up they were inseparable and had become brothers that looked out for one another.

"Shit if you are ugly why didn't you just hit the books harder! The uglier you are the smarter and more hardworking you gotta be bro! Don't you know how the ugly to smart scale works." laughed Colbee who proceeded to stuff his mouth with a donut.

"Man! Your fat ass isn't going nowhere in life either. You so fat I saw you stand on the scale the other day and it said to be continued!" laughed Zeph.

"Shit Zeph! You so dumb you stared at a bottle of orange juice all damn day just because it said the word concentrate!" roared Colbee. The two continued to throw jokes at each other while reading the news on their phones.

"Yo bro, This Strava team is some serious shit man!" exclaimed Colbee. "They had a complete sweep of the other team!. Maybe we can be like their leader Ryde, the King of Hard Work. I heard he rides a bike everyday until the 8 sets of tires wear out. This guy rose the up in the ranks from nothing. With his relentless stamina he became champion!"

"Damn, what a true badass, he's even has time to run a damn city, he was raising up Strava City from the wilderness a decade ago. What a fucking hero!" admired Zeph. "Maybe one day we can be like him, phenom, city ruler, and Constellation Cup Champion!"

"Shit! It starts with us getting into this club. The Legend of the Legendary Bros Begins! Colbee & Zeph, chopping up fools like a chef" laughed Colbee. "Lets get it! Colbee & Zeph! We wanna be the very best.. "

"So.. Colbee, you got any idea what the club examination consist of?" asked Zeph.

"There are two parts bro, didn't you read your papers. First we got to go to a test facility to see if our bodies can acclimate with Calamity Energy. If that works bro, then we're a shoo in for any of these clubs. We get to go to the city hall and meet the several clubs settled in the city and decide which one we want to go to. But we don't want to just join any of these clubs."

"So then... what club are we trying to join?" Zeph's eyebrow raised.

"Honestly, it doesn't even matter, all these clubs are scouting and nurturing clubs, meant to help future talent grow. But if I had my eye on one, it would be the A Rank Westwind Club, the Westwind Club recently got the next upcoming phenom. Griffith Bluesummers. Dude is our age but he had his cells activated when he was fifteen and has already begun fighting for their starting five. He is essentially a year or two ahead of us!" Colbee exclaimed.

The Constellation Union provided public education and basic military training for citizens of every nation until they were 18. Kids were provided lessons ranging from basic hand to hand combat, weapon handling, beast identification, and the history of mankind.

At the age of 18, the human body is developed enough to begin handling the stresses of Calamity Energy or CE. Every year, there is a mad rush by clubs to bring in and nurture new talent.

These clubs take the risk and provide guidance for new members in order to learn how to effectively utilize Calamity Energy. The world was at an age where the definition of success was how strong one was. The Constellation Continent was controlled by the strongest individuals. The Constellation Union effectively achieved world unification in a way when it created a united front against the beasts.

At the age of eighteen after a few years of physical development, individuals are required to get calamity energy tested upon being eighteen.

Two Bros' can only dream. The two looked on ahead in anticipation for the examination of Westwind Club.

"Well we have a few days before the assessments, at the age of eighteen we can enter any Constellation information hub in order to create our profiles and have our calamity energy power potential unlocked." said Colbee.

"Since we're both eighteen now lets go check it out."

"I think the nearest one to here in Leo City is a few blocks from here Colbee."
