The dark-faced man narrowed his sharp eyes. 'She is not trying to kill me... She wants to take me alive!'
The realisation hit him like a lightning bolt, and a wave of dark glee washed over him.
An opportunity!
If Yu Qi were constrained by the need to capture him alive, she would naturally hesitate to throw lethal strikes. As long as he exploited that mercy, he could turn the tables!
A cruel, twisted sneer spread across his dark face. He decided to use her own leniency as a trap.
During Yu Qi's next sweep, the dark-faced man deliberately left his upper chest wide open. Just as Yu Qi shifted her blade's angle to avoid a lethal blow, he suddenly twisted his frame at an unnatural angle and unleashed a hidden, devastating palm strike. His dark palm surged toward Yu Qi's chest with every last drop of spiritual power he could muster.
