"We are done, shift the green tagged patients," I ordered as I made the round in a large hall.
The order followed immediately, and the beds moved. There is an elevator where one bed after another disappeared, before empty beds replaced them.
There are now four patients remaining; these are the critical ones. I would need to keep an eye on them.
I checked their conditions once more before walking to my office. Usually, I teach after dealing with patients, but two more carts of them will be coming in next thirty to forty minutes.
They will need all the rest that they can.
Before, I used to teach them twice, sometimes thrice, a day. Now, only once, if lucky. They have given us a big facility, but the workload has increased just as much.
Looking at the state of war, it didn't seem like it. It's going to stop soon.
There is no trust, with many festering issues. Not to mention, the leaders of both states have no interest in peace. They want each other's territories.
