After taking a deep breath, Little Donnie inhaled deeply, then hung up the phone and turned it off, handing the phone casually to Eliza.
"This phone won't be used for a while. No matter how you manage it, don't let anyone listen in, don't let anyone notice it still exists."
Eliza took the phone and casually placed it in a metal bucket, covering it only after giving Little Donnie a deep look, then returned to her room.
Under the same roof, yet she wouldn't speak a word more to him; Little Donnie had grown accustomed to Eliza being like this.
Little Donnie returned to the living room, passed through the back door to the lawn in the backyard, gently tugged the blanket on the reclining chair under the shade for his foster mother. His foster mother was quite old, even while enjoying the speckled sunlight through the tree shade, she needed the protection of a blanket.
