The T34 tank charged forward quite quickly, but after all, it's a relic from decades ago. When the T-72 alongside it gained speed, it quickly overtook the T34. However, the T34 didn't aim for the government forces' tank; instead, it sprinted diagonally for a stretch, closing the distance to 500 or 600 meters with the armored vehicle before suddenly halting.
The T34 doesn't have the ability to fire while moving. It's not that it can't fire at all, but it's impossible to shoot accurately while on the move.
But that T34 didn't intend to have a showdown with the government forces' tank. The little cannon on the T34, let alone penetrate the frontal armor of a modern tank; it probably couldn't even deal with the rear. The point is, this antique T34 has never fought against tanks like the T64 and T72, so nobody knows exactly how much damage the small cannon on the T34 can inflict on modern tanks.
