"How about it, continue?" said the noblewoman, evidently displeased with Aroma's momentary lapse.
Aroma nodded and continued untying the noblewoman's hair bun, her emotions well masked, showing no signs of disturbance.
"Mm, that's enough, you may go rest as well, I'm going to take a rest too," the noblewoman said as she stood up, walked over to the table, picked up her tea cup, and took a sip, "This tea is quite carelessly made."
"I will get you a fresh pot of tea," Aroma offered.
"No need, we'll have to make do here in the wilderness," the noblewoman replied, waving her hand to hasten Aroma's departure.
Aroma bowed her head and left, closing the door behind her. Once outside, a look of confusion crossed her face. The earlier conversation had left her with the impression that the noblewoman was speaking in veiled terms.
But that notion felt unreliable and illogical. If the other party could see through her identity, wouldn't that mean her main mission had already failed?
