"I searched the area when I first arrived but couldn't find any caves. The cave might be a one-way path, or you could be right—this place is just so massive that we wouldn't find it even if it exists," Euphoria said, taking a bite of her fruit.
Wayne spat out a leaf and replied, "Yeah, let's just wait for sunrise."
Euphoria looked up at the sky as well but remained silent.
"I still really like that island. What about you, Euphoria? Where do you want to go once we get back?" Wayne asked, leaning against a tree.
"We don't even know where we'll end up when we return," Euphoria said. She finished her fruit, picked another one, and threw one to Wayne.
Wayne caught it. Even though he did not care for fruit, it gave him something to chew on when he was bored.
"Hey! This mountain and this tree belong to me. If you want to eat that fruit, leave a female behind!"
Wayne had just taken a bite when a sudden voice startled him, causing him to drop the fruit.
