Chapter 257
The attitude of some beastmen in the city toward Euphoria and her family was growing more hostile by the day. While Euphoria could ignore most things, she could not overlook people bullying her children.
That day, the lion cubs came home covered in cuts and bruises, and they also seemed completely drained of energy.

The two cubs shook their heads, lay down to lick their wounds, and remained completely silent.
Euphoria used animal hides to clean them up and gave them some crystals to eat. Even though their wounds mostly healed, they still seemed deeply upset; she could not tell if they were exhausted or just sad from being picked on.
Just then, Wayne came back and froze when he saw the injured cubs.
"What happened to you guys? Did you lose a fight?" Wayne asked, noticing how down they looked.
The two cubs looked up at Wayne but did not make a sound.
