Their home was located in quite a secluded spot. Euphoria had visited the lake before; it was an expansive body of water called White Lake, which was how the city earned its name.
Water was a vital resource for any city or tribe.
By this time, the commotion within the tribe had quieted down because the orcs had likely rushed to the city gate. They did not cross paths with a single soul along the way.
Fan filled the bucket and prepared to guide Euphoria back, but she stared at the glittering water and remarked, "I feel like eating fish. Since we are already here, let's catch a few to take home."
Fan fixed his eyes on Euphoria with a steady, intense gaze.
"You do not really want me around, do you? Fine, I will get into the water with you. I wanted to rinse off anyway," Euphoria stated.
Fan pressed his lips together tightly. He set the wooden bucket down and agreed, "Alright."
Euphoria offered a faint smile. Fan was incredibly suspicious of her.
