The team then continued their march toward the last checkpoint, which was located at the top of the hill, right at the centre of the island. The path ahead gradually became steeper, forcing everyone to slow their pace.
"Olive... that monster you summoned yesterday had both of their heads, didn't it?" Benn asked as he walked alongside Oliver. He was still thinking about Mezuki and Gozuki, the two monsters Oliver had summoned just now.
"Is that so? Hmm... maybe you just took a wrong look." Oliver tried to deny it.
Before Benn could question him any further, Oliver quickly walked ahead, leaving Benn behind, still trying to remember what exactly he had seen yesterday.
"Was I really mistaken?" Benn muttered to himself, scratching his head in confusion.
After one hour of climbing, they finally arrived at the last checkpoint, just a few hundred metres from the top of the hill.
