One minute.
A full minute of saturation bombardment.
The sky was completely swallowed by the blaze of fire; thick smoke billowed, blotting out the sun and casting darkness upon the earth.
Finally, the ammunition was exhausted.
The artillery fire ceased.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up, staring intently at the smoke-shrouded sky.
Others within the sports center had long since been alarmed.
The elderly, women, and the wounded all stepped out from the surrounding buildings, tilting their heads back to look at the sky.
No one spoke.
No one dared to breathe.
They had no idea what was happening.
They only knew that the air raid sirens had blared, followed by the sight of fire filling the sky and the sound of deafening explosions.
Now, everything had returned to silence.
But that silence was even more suffocating than the explosions.
A breeze blew slowly past.
The smoke in the sky gradually dispersed.
What was first revealed were those still-outstretched dragon wings.
The silver-white Exoskeleton still shimmered with a cold luster under the sun, without a single scorch mark or any sign of damage.
Next came that petite figure.
Lilith remained suspended in her original spot, having not moved even half an inch.
The hem of her clothes was slightly dirty.
That was all.
She raised her hand, gently brushing off the bit of dust clinging to her clothes, and then—
She smiled.
The smile was faint, yet it carried a hint of joy that was hard to conceal.
From beginning to end, she had never underestimated humanity's thermal weapons.
She had seen aircraft carriers and missiles; she knew these steel creations once ruled this world.
But now—
These weapons that once struck terror into the hearts of countless people were as good as useless before her.
She parted her lips, revealing her cute little canine teeth, and whispered to herself.
"It seems that aside from nuclear bombs, there shouldn't be any weapon on Earth capable of posing a threat to me."
Behind her, the Alien Queen hovered silently.
From start to finish, it hadn't moved either.
Possessing strength comparable to Lilith's first form, it likewise had not sustained any damage.
Its dark-gold vertical pupils looked down upon those tiny humans below, eyes filled with utter contempt.
Then, it moved.
That massive body suddenly dove downward!
Its Speed didn't decrease in the slightest; it even grew faster!
With its hundred-meter dragon wings folded, the seventy-plus-meter body was like a cerulean meteorite, carrying a world-destroying momentum as it crashed madly toward the sports center below!
The violent wind pressure arrived ahead of time, pressing down so hard the humans below could barely breathe!
Some were blown to the ground, some clung tightly to nearby fixtures, and even more just stood there blankly, their eyes filled with despair.
It was over.
Everything was over.
This monster was going to crush them all.
Right at this critical moment—
"Presumptuous!!!"
A resounding voice exploded like a thunderclap in this moment of despair!
Everyone jerked their heads around to look at the source of the voice.
From deep within the sports center, a figure soared into the sky!
It was a middle-aged man dressed in black samurai attire, wielding a cold, shimmering katana.
His aura far surpassed the level of an ordinary SS-Level Talent Hunter!
"Mere beast, how dare you cause chaos in my Island Nation!"
With a furious roar, his body turned into a bolt of black lightning, shooting toward the diving Alien Queen!
His momentum was astonishing, his Speed incredible, as if he truly intended to clash head-on with that seventy-plus-meter terrifying behemoth by his strength alone!
And then—
"Whoosh—!"
An afterimage too fast to track suddenly appeared before him!
The Speed of that afterimage had surpassed the sound barrier and the limits of the naked eye, appearing almost like teleportation!
Lilith's figure abruptly appeared in front of the man.
She didn't even spare him a glance.
Only—
The Bone Tail sliding out from beneath her skirt suddenly sprang up as if it had a life of its own!
The Tail Blade, encased in dark-red metal and carrying a sharpness capable of tearing through anything, directly pierced through the man's heart!
*Puchi!*
Blood splattered.
The man's furious roar came to an abrupt halt.
His eyes went wide as he looked down at the bone blade protruding from his chest, his eyes filled with disbelief.
He didn't even have a chance to react.
Lilith didn't even bother to look at him; with a gentle flick of her Bone Tail, she tossed the corpse aside like trash.
*Bang!*
The corpse crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Lilith hovered in the air, looking down indifferently at the corpse, her cherry lips parting slightly to utter two words.
"Idiot."
"Trash."
Then, she withdrew her gaze and looked down at the crowd that had fallen into a complete daze.
There was no anger, no killing intent, only a kind of disregard.
As if the thing she had just crushed was merely an ant by the roadside.
The Alien Queen landed heavily behind her; the moment its massive body hit the ground, the entire sports center trembled.
Those dark-gold vertical pupils, just like Lilith's, looked down upon those tiny lives.
Dead silence.
Total, absolute silence.
There were no screams, no crying, not even the sound of breathing.
Everyone just stood there blankly, gazing at that petite figure in the sky and the sky-blotting behemoth behind her.
It was over.
The Island Nation was truly finished.
