Jay woke up at 5:30 A.M.
No breakfast.
No sightseeing.
No meetings about cars or robots.
Today was different.
Coco walked into the hallway and immediately noticed Jay's expression.
"What's wrong?"
Jay looked at him.
"Everything."
Lisa stepped out of her room.
"What happened?"
Jay handed them both a file.
The cover had one word:
AKBAR.
Coco opened it.
His smile disappeared.
"That's not a company."
"No," Jay said. "It's a private organization."
Lisa turned another page.
"They're experimenting on people?"
"That's what we believe."
Jay closed the file.
"And we're shutting it down."
---
They arrived at an enormous abandoned research facility outside the city.
The place looked deserted.
It wasn't.
The moment they entered, alarms started screaming.
"Great," Coco muttered. "I already hate today."
The first group attacked.
Then another.
Then another.
Security rushed forward while Jay and Lisa moved through the building with Coco.
The fights were brutal for the attackers, but Jay, Lisa and Coco stayed almost untouched.
Coco ducked behind a wall.
"Why is everyone here so committed?!"
Jay glanced at him.
"You're asking that now?"
"I'M TRYING TO PROCESS."
Lisa laughed despite everything.
They reached the underground section.
The doors opened.
Inside was a massive laboratory.
Rows of sealed containers.
Machines covered in warning symbols.
Computers displaying unknown chemical research.
Jay's expression became completely serious.
"What is all this?"
A scientist stepped forward.
"Experiments."
"On what?"
He hesitated.
Jay's voice hardened.
"Answer me."
"Experimental compounds. Biological responses. Human enhancement research."
Lisa looked horrified.
Jay immediately turned to Coco.
"Get the files."
Coco nodded.
"Already doing it."
The scientist tried to stop them.
Jay stepped forward.
"You're finished."
---
Suddenly, the entire facility went into lockdown.
Red emergency lights flashed.
Doors slammed shut.
Coco looked around.
"Please tell me that's part of the plan."
Jay stared at the locked doors.
"No."
Lisa sighed.
"Of course not."
A massive security team entered the laboratory.
The fight began.
Jay moved through the chaos with terrifying calm.
Lisa stayed beside her.
Coco handled the security systems while occasionally shouting:
"JAY, LEFT!"
Jay moved.
A guard rushed past.
"RIGHT!"
Jay moved again.
Lisa looked at Coco.
"How are you so good at this?"
"I PANIC PRODUCTIVELY."
Eventually, the guards were overwhelmed.
The three reached the central control room.
Jay found the main database.
She looked at the files.
Dozens of experiments.
Illegal research.
Hidden facilities.
Names of organizations.
Financial records.
Everything.
Jay copied the evidence.
Then she looked at Lisa.
"We're exposing all of it."
Lisa nodded.
Coco looked at the screen.
"Uh… guys?"
Jay turned.
"What?"
"The building is evacuating."
Silence.
Jay looked at the warning display.
"Everyone out."
They ran.
The three escaped the facility just before the underground complex became inaccessible.
Outside, Jay looked back at the building.
Three days in Mexico.
Ten business meetings.
A mafia council.
A massive event.
Five major fights.
And now an entire illegal research operation uncovered.
Coco dropped onto the car seat.
"I am never complaining about your meetings again."
Lisa laughed.
Jay opened the door.
"Good."
Coco looked at her.
"Are we going home?"
Jay smiled.
"Finally."
He sighed in relief.
Then Jay added:
"But we're eating first."
Coco immediately sat up.
"THAT'S MY JAY."
And for the first time in three days, Jay laughed without having to worry about what was waiting around the next corner.
Mexico was finally over.
END OF DAY 3.
