The following morning, two police vehicles stopped outside Stanley Goodman's residence.
The arrival immediately attracted attention. The officers stepped out of the vehicles and approached the main entrance while another group remained outside, keeping the area under observation.
Inside the house, Stanley Goodman was already waiting for them with his family and lawyer.
He had expected the police to come. The previous questioning had ended with the police notifying him that there would be follow-up investigations, and with the current situation online, it would have been strange if they did not come.
Stanley led them into the sitting room.
"We need to speak with everyone who has regular access to this house," the lead investigator explained.
Stanley nodded. "My wife and son are here."
His wife, Alice, was called into the room first.
She remained composed as the investigators began asking questions.
"Mrs. Goodman, where were you on the day of the nurse's attempted attack?"
