ELARA~
(Minutes after Audrey's collapse)
"Such great timing I have."
"Don't do that," Andrew answered quietly as he drove me toward the private terminal.
"I shouldn't have come." The tears I had been holding in finally spilled over, scalding my cheeks. She wanted to kill me. She came into my life for nothing more than blood and revenge.
Gripping the headrest of the passenger seat, I let out a jagged, agonizing scream, shaking the seat with all the strength left in my body. Andrew didn't say a single word. He just kept his eyes on the road ahead, and I was thankful for the silence.
I cried until my throat burned, cried until I lost my voice, cried until there was nothing left inside me to bleed out.
By the time we pulled up to the private terminal, I was completely drained. For forty minutes, I just sat in the backseat of the idling car, staring blankly out the window, quietly sobbing into my sleeves before I finally forced myself onto the jet.
