Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: You’re Looking at the Wrong Place

That look Agadi gave her yesterday—

Still didn't sit well.

It wasn't confusion.

It wasn't gossip excitement.

It was something else.

Something sharper.

---

She got to the lesson centre a bit earlier again.

Not too early.

Just enough to settle before the noise started.

---

She dropped her bag and sat down.

Her eyes moved immediately.

Out of habit now.

---

The two were already there.

Separate.

Normal.

No tension.

No hidden glances.

---

She leaned back slightly.

*Still nothing…*

---

"Morning."

She turned.

Agadi.

---

"Morning."

Agadi sat down slowly.

Not talking immediately.

Just arranging her things.

---

That alone was unusual.

---

"You're quiet," she said.

"I'm thinking."

"About?"

Agadi looked at her.

Straight.

---

"You were right."

---

She blinked.

"About what?"

---

"That something didn't add up."

---

She sat up slightly.

"So?"

---

Agadi leaned closer.

Lowered her voice.

---

"We were looking at the wrong place."

---

Silence.

---

Her eyebrows pulled together.

"What do you mean?"

---

Agadi didn't answer immediately.

Instead, she looked ahead.

At the class.

At people moving.

---

Then she spoke.

Slowly.

---

"You know how everybody thought it was those two?"

She nodded.

---

Agadi tilted her head slightly.

"It's not them."

---

Her chest tightened a bit.

*I knew it…*

---

"Then who?" she asked quietly.

---

Agadi smirked just a little.

"That's what you didn't see."

---

Before she could press further—

Favor walked in.

Fanning herself with her notebook.

---

"Ah, this heat is too much," she said. "I swear I didn't sleep."

"Same," she replied.

---

Favor looked between them.

"You people have started your secret meeting again."

---

"Nothing," Agadi said.

"You always say nothing," Favor replied. "But it's never nothing."

---

Jiggy entered next.

Late.

As usual.

---

"I know I missed something," he said immediately.

"You didn't miss anything," she replied.

"I don't believe you."

---

He dropped his bag and leaned forward.

"So what's the update?"

---

Agadi looked at him calmly.

"No update."

---

"That's a lie."

---

She smiled slightly.

*He will not rest.*

---

Before things could go further—

Agadi said it.

Casually.

Like she was just mentioning weather.

---

"My school brother is coming."

---

Silence.

---

Jiggy blinked.

"Your what?"

---

"School brother."

---

"From where?" he asked.

---

Agadi looked at him.

"From school."

---

The class laughed.

---

Favor shook her head.

"You like to confuse people."

---

"I didn't confuse anybody," Agadi replied.

---

She frowned slightly.

*School brother?*

---

"Who is he?" she asked.

---

Agadi shrugged.

"You'll see."

---

Jiggy leaned in again.

"Is he tall?"

Agadi ignored him.

---

"Is he fine?"

Still ignored.

---

"Does he have sense?"

Agadi finally looked at him.

"That one, you'll find out yourself."

---

"Hmm," Jiggy said, nodding. "I like mystery."

---

She watched quietly.

But inside—

Her thoughts were connecting things.

---

*Is this connected to what she saw?*

---

Before she could ask again—

Mr Charles entered.

---

"Good morning."

"Good morning, sir."

---

"Open your books."

---

Class started.

---

But today—

It was harder to focus.

---

Because now—

There were two things in her head.

---

👉 The wrong assumption about the "crush"

👉 And this "school brother"

---

And somehow—

They felt connected.

---

Halfway into the lesson—

Mr Charles turned.

"Do you understand?"

---

"Sir… small," someone said.

---

"Small is not enough," he replied. "Make it big."

The class laughed.

---

He pointed at Jiggy.

"You—what do you understand?"

---

Jiggy stood.

"Sir… I understand that this question is not for me."

---

The class burst into laughter.

---

"Why?" Mr Charles asked.

---

"I'm an art student, sir."

---

"So your brain is separate?" he replied.

More laughter.

---

Jiggy sat down proudly.

"I tried."

---

Agadi shook her head.

"Tragic."

---

She smiled.

But her eyes—

Moved again.

---

To the girl.

---

To the boy.

---

Still nothing.

---

Then—

Something small.

---

The girl turned.

Not to the boy.

But to someone else behind.

Spoke briefly.

Then faced front again.

---

The boy didn't react.

---

Agadi leaned slightly.

"You see?"

---

She nodded slowly.

"I see."

---

"This thing is not what people think," Agadi said.

---

She exhaled quietly.

---

"I want to know what you saw," she said.

---

Agadi smiled again.

That same annoying smile.

---

"You'll know."

---

"When?"

---

"Soon."

---

"Agadi—"

---

"Relax."

---

She leaned back.

Frustrated.

---

*This girl is enjoying this too much.*

---

Class continued.

---

But now—

Her attention kept shifting.

---

To the door.

---

Because even though she didn't fully understand it—

Something told her—

---

*That "school brother"…*

---

*He's important.*

---

During break—

They stepped outside again.

---

Jiggy didn't waste time.

"So when is he coming?"

---

Agadi leaned against the wall.

"He'll come."

---

"When?"

---

"When he comes."

---

"Very helpful," Favor said dryly.

---

She crossed her arms.

"Is he even coming today?"

---

Agadi looked at her.

"Yes."

---

That answer was different.

---

Not playful.

Not vague.

---

Sure.

---

Her heart skipped slightly.

---

*Today?*

---

Jiggy's eyes widened.

"Ahhh!"

---

"Calm down," Agadi said.

---

"I'm calm," he said. "I'm just ready."

---

"For what?" she asked.

---

"For entrance," he replied.

---

They all laughed.

---

But deep down—

They were waiting.

---

Even her.

---

She looked toward the classroom door.

Then back at Agadi.

---

Agadi wasn't joking anymore.

---

She was actually waiting.

---

And whatever she had seen—

Whatever she hadn't said yet—

---

Was about to connect.

---

She adjusted her bag slightly.

Took a small breath.

---

Then thought quietly—

---

*Let's see this "school brother."*
