The colossus's fist came down like a falling tower, and the temple floor where the team had stood erupted into a crater of pulverized stone.
But the team was no longer standing there.
"Before we start," Rudrean had said, in the half-breath before the giant moved, and his hand had dipped into the storage ring at his finger. "Catch."
What came out of that ring was a small avalanche.
It was easy to forget just how much Rudrean had pulled from his talent's gacha. The three Tier-10 artifacts were the headlines, but beneath them sat a deep, cluttered hoard of everything else the gacha had spat out over hundreds of summons: potions by the rack, one-use talismans, charms, salves, various aritfacts, items, weapons and armor, consumables of every stripe. Most of it he had never bothered to use, because he had never needed to. But the Shattered Hubris of Tyrant permitted nothing above Tier-4 to be carried in from outside, and within that ceiling, Rudrean's pockets were absurdly deep.
