Showing that the words that each of them said when they were back at the mansion, Rias and Yumi easily dealt with the monsters on a lower floor than they normally stayed on
"It really does make it much easier to fight when I'm not having to worry about dodging all of the attacks from monsters" Rias stated as she used fire magic to deal with a group of bed bats that were coming their way, feeling that using her powers of destruction to take them out would be overkill and would risk damaging the magic stone
"I agree" Yumi affirmed as she appeared behind an unaware imp and stabbed a kunai into its neck, turning it to ash in a single attack "having someone who isn't essentially a glass cannon like Rias or a ninja like me who works better when the enemy doesn't know I'm here makes it easier for the two of us to focus on our strengths while you cover our weakness Nero"
"Glad to know that I can help" Nero smiled as he dodged a dodged a orc that swung its club at him with a spin, using the centrifugal force of his spin to deliver a strong blow to its torso, the impact of which was able to force the orc of its feet and onto its back, at which point Nero created a ice spike above its head and dropped it down, turning the monster to dust
As they continued downwards Rias noted "so, I'm guessing that your new teacher is some kind of martial artist based on how you are currently fighting, want to tell us her name, who knows, maybe I might know about her if she is a anime character"
"Not an anime character per say" Nero answered "her name is Kyouka, and she is from a manga called dragons rioting"
"Kyouka, as in Kagami Kyouka?" Rias asked before giving a sympathetic smile "sounds like you've got your work cut out for you, I imagine that she is more of a learn by fighting not explaining kind of teacher"
"Yeah, unfortunately for my bones she is" Nero sighed "but I do remember from when I read that manga that she taught Rentarou how to dance which tested his muscle control and that the main reason that she is so strong is because of her learning to dance which strengthened her muscles, so I'm hoping to learn that as I believe if I incorporate the footwork into my current footwork that I learned from Yumi that I will not only become stronger, but that I will be able to fight more efficiently and dodge attacks more easily"
Yumi nodded from the side "that's a good mindset to have, although your current footwork is good enough to be able to dodge most monsters attacks with relative ease, adding in better control and mixing in different footwork together will also make it more difficult for enemies to anticipate how you are planning on attacking or retreating, although this will not be as effective on monsters it is good to be prepared to fight humans, both due to your training being against other humans and to prepare yourself in case you have to fight against villains or bandits who wish to steal your loot"
As they talked and walked, defeating monsters as they came across them it didn't take long for them to reach the 15th floor
"Alright, we're here, now then, did the quest say where we might find the moss that we are after is?" Nero asked
"From what I remember from the job posting, it says that the moss can be found all over the dungeon, but that they specifically would like for the moss that we procure to be from near to a old dungeon worm hole to ensure that the soil around there had been mixed together, but also that it would have had time for the moss to absorb the ash from the creatures" Rias answered
"How would we know where a dungeon worm has been? the dungeon will have repaired itself so there wouldn't be any traces of the hole left" Nero frowned
"The best way to tell would be by looking at the moss itself" Yumi informed Nero "the soil being mixed up would mix in the moss and the ash together meaning that the moss would grow back, but compared to the moss in the immediate area it would not have as much time to grow and as such the moss would not be as thick in the central area of where a worm has been, but there would most likely be a ring of moss that will have grown thicker"
"So you're saying we're looking for a thick ring of moss?" Nero realised
"Exactly, and it will be better to look at the ceiling and walls as monsters walking around the dungeon could damage the moss, although we should not rule out looking for moss on the ground as well" Yumi affirmed
"In that case our best bets would be to not aim for the main pathways that lead to the stairs, but to follow the branching pathways outwards as far as we can as that will increase our chances of coming across an area where less adventurers and monsters will have walked leading there to be a more likely chance of us discovering moss rings on the floor that are undamaged" Rias suggested
"Sounds like a plan to me" Nero concurred "lets get going then, but keep your eyes and ears open, the last time I faced a monster from this floor due to a accident I nearly died so keep your guard up, hopefully my new abilities from Kyouka will help me not get in the same predicament as last time but it's best to be careful"
"Agreed" both Yumi and Rias acknowledge in unison as the party continued into the dungeon
