Lantern light reflected off the brass calipers in her hand as she compared the ink lines with the drained reservoir walls.
Beside her, Hajin and Taren leaned over the layout, studying the intricate network of drainage culverts.
"Look at this primary overflow junction," Ferra muttered, tracing a sharp bronze stylus across the parchment grid.
"The imperial blueprint shows an open bypass pipe running straight into the lower rehearsal cavern."
"Is the bypass blocked by debris?" Hajin asked, crossing his arms as he analyzed the schematic lines.
"Worse than blocked... it is an engineered discharge trap," she answered with a grim scowl across her soot-stained face.
"If our strike team charged down that culvert as drawn on this map, five thousand tons of pressurized water would flush us into the abyss!"
