Eirwen reached the western ledge while Hajin was still fighting the river road, placing her hand against soil that felt colder than the stone beneath it.
White roots stretched between the cliffs ahead of her, bending toward the dead ravine whenever another command entered the bridge.
Above the first span, Juna cut a falling stone away from the cart waiting at its edge, keeping both manifested Wings clear of the broken towers.
"The far anchor is going," she called, following the next crack across the bridge, "that cart won't reach the other side like this."
Eirwen pressed her palm deeper, finding no living network waiting beneath the road for her to wake.
"Keep the falling pieces off us."
"Gladly."
Hajin's voice reached the relay at her shoulder, carrying the sound of water striking his shield through the words.
"The families are moving, but I won't reach you before the next update."
